Daniel Negreanu a Racist? Daniel Negreanu a Racist?

As far as I am concerned, whether you agree with DN or not in his post, he is very very far from being racist with those words. I have browsed G911 for a long time here and there, and while it has long been accepted as a particularly BS site that does find breaking news in the online world occassionally, I think this article goes too far and is just shameful.

BTW, on multiple occasions it seems G911 gets their 'breaking news' from 2+2's very own: NVG. I wish I was kidding.

08-12-2009 , 03:41 AM

08-12-2009 , 03:46 AM
Yeah, whoever wrote that is an idiot.
08-12-2009 , 03:52 AM
first comment on the article pretty much summs it all up

author is still a freakin moron

+1 for what a POS (author, not DN). quoting a blog and prefacing it with 'OMG look how racist daniel negreanu is' is not an article.
08-12-2009 , 04:02 AM
yes, his blackface stuff, his impressions, his racist comments on tv channels... hes just not clever about it.. he believes hes not racist, but his words ...

The douche who wrote that article is racist. When you infer that somebody else is racist and they aren't racist, then the person making the claim is a racist. There was nothing racist about what Negreanu said.

The word racist doesn't really carry much weight anymore, especially in political topics. People throw it around far too freely and playing the race card is usually a sign of weakness and it shows a lack of intelligence.

so by your logic if i call someone fat who isnt fat, then i am fat. lol.

Being called fat is not exactly the same as being called a racist by somebody.

And yes, the people who call other people racists are usually themselves racist. Just look at that dumb professor and friend of Obama who called the cop a racist recently. It is truly the defense of the weakminded.

The word racist doesn't mean much anymore, it's like the boy who cried wolf. It's like calling somebody a nazi on the internet.

Def not racist. Reporter is a moron.

Not a big issue for me, almost everybody is discriminated against in one way or another. Nobody gets special treatment from me.

Wait wat???!? Is this second level thinking? What if they call the person a gay racist, but only one of those statements is true? Does the other automatically fall to the accuser?

What a douche reporter!.

In before Daniel Negreanu posts that he's not a racist, and has lots of black friends.

And then, posts this as indisputable proof:

typical republican double speak... pointing out my racism? OMG u must be racist for mentioning race...

As I said, I watch BET, and don't think there is anything at all wrong with having a channel catered towards blacks
translation: i have a black friend but...

but the name is just bad. Calling it the Urban Entertainment Television network would still be accurate, but less separatist.
seperatist? wtf.

Quote:
Who came up with the term African-American anyway? It's a bad idea, and besides, why would you call a Jamaican-American an African-American anyway?
ignorant at best, racist at worst.

I mean seriously, why do we single out blacks that way, but don't really do that with any other culture? People with Greek ancestry that are American, are just... American. People from England who become American are not English-Americans, they are just accepted as Americans.
I know lots of white folks take pride in their irish/greek/whatever roots. Black people just stand out more.

Now, the channel caters to blacks and features black entertainers. Nothing wrong with a channel targeting a certain demographic, but is it really OK to just call it Black Entertainment Television?
I'm sure a bunch of white and black marketing types came up with the name. What's "not ok" about it?
08-12-2009 , 05:23 AM
Racism against blacks is pretty much dead nowadays anyway.
08-12-2009 , 06:15 AM
i remember one of the old episodes of high stakes poker where daniel was playing and ming ly was at the table. apparently they are friends so i doubt hes a full-blown racist but he did keep speaking in an annoying asian-imitation accent.
