And Daniel responded, with an annoyed/disgusted look on his face "ok, just let me finish this thought first", he then continued conversing with Greenstein for another 10 minutes while my friend and I stood there like idiots waiting. 10 minutes later he just walks off and leaves without even acknowledging me or my friend."

It all comes down to whether you interrupted a serious conversation. Sounds like you did. If so it explains both his being annoyed and forgetting you were there.

David, I think you are projecting here. I believe that you may forget about another person's presence because you are deep in thought on something, but most people would not just blank on a person standing right next to them waiting on a picture.

Don't forget, OP has turned what should have been a 2 minute encounter with a poker celebrity into close to 500 posts of deep, meaningful posting, including posts from said celebrity that took him longer than the 2 minutes he missed to write.
