Lame jokes ITT rivaling OP for lameness

The fault is both ways. He probably didn't want to take the photo or forgot. If he didn't want to take it, and didn't want to say no - so he said something else to get out of it. Can you imagine how many requests he gets like this - it becomes impossible to do anything normal if people are always asking for autographs and pictures. I have been around celebrities and prominent people most of my life and I have only asked for a photo with some athletes when the athletes were at a casino sponsored event specifically to promote the event

As for Daniel, he and I often eat in the same restaurant - I don't know him and have never approached him for an autograph or picture or even to talk to him when he is having dinner. I been around Phil Ivey in the pits and TJ Cloutier and same thing. I have played poker in tournaments (with Daniel more than once at his table) and other pros and never asked for anything. In my mind it lacks decorum to do that - there might be certain events where there that is appropriate, but if they are out doing normal things - leave them alone.

I do have a photo with President George W. Bush, but that was taken at an event where there was formal photo op thing - but if I met him playing poker, I would not ask for one.

Unless some publicist approaches you about a picture, it is classier and more respectful not to ask for one. I just played poker with Greg Raymer at Red Rock and he even did a meet and greet the next day the casino arranged - I played a three person mixed game with him and we have plenty of conversations about poker and he was incredibly helpful with tips with many games I am not that experienced with and I would never ask him for a photo or autograph, though I am sure I could have gotten one.

Good post MF, but unlike Raymer, Negreanu has made a bit of a name for himself as an attention whore, so he has less of a right to be affronted when people ask him for pictures or w/e. That said, OP was probably being too solicitous.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Negreanu a few years back. He was nice enough to pose for a picture with my wife, and as if that wasn't enough, he gave me a 100 dollar bill and had me get drinks for all of us. When i got back it took me a few hours do find them (damn Rio might as well be a maze) but he was nice enough to let me keep the change. So bless Mr Negreanu!

Sorry dude, I remember planning on taking the pic as soon as Barry and I were finished our business. We had a figure to settle from WSOP and just wanted to make sure it was all correct.

I was out on the town having fun that night and I took at least 100 pics. Never has been a problem and never will be. Sorry I missed taking one with you. I had a few drinks, then had to "relieve myself" when I came back I don't remember anyone being there for a pic.

I was just having fun at the 1-3 game and giving a little loose action. It was fun. Anyway, sorry you felt dissed, I get it, and get why you may have taken it personal but I definitely wasn't trying to diss anyone.

I meet lots of people in a given day. 99% of the time I think it's a good situation, while sometimes I'm just preoccupied with something else and maybe a fan, or what have you feels neglected. It just happens sometimes.
