This attitude tilts me. Just because you become famous doesn't mean you don't have the right to live life as a human being. For some reason once people become famous (whether they want to or not) they become fair game for all the losers to tear them down to make themselves feel better about themselves.
It's this attitude that makes tabloid journalism so successful. Humans can be so great, but this facet of the human condition is neither healthy or progressive. In fact it's downright destructive. What gives us the right to know what happens in a celebrity's sex life? The halo effect is a fallacy, yet people see that imaginary halo and run with it - and god forbid if that halo slips and the moral outrage brigrade get hold of you.
Why can't people let other people get on with their lives without the need for scadenfreude to make their ****ty lives a little bit better? Put yourself in that person's shoes for a second - sure it would be nice to be recognised, loved, asked for pictures etc. but I know it would get old fast and sometimes I would just want the 'fans' to leave me in peace.
I've gone off on a bit of a tangent here, but the whole celebrity obsession in our respective countries is ridiculous and i'm baffled as to why people think like this.
