You apparently haven't seen him play cash games. If he is a multi millionaire, why hasn't he paid steve wynn the money he owes him? He's been a consistent losing player online since he started that, was a loser in all the tv HSP games, is a loser in the big game at bellagio, yet your assumptions that he is a multi millionaire because hes sponsored by poker stars and gets alot of tv time? Sure he probably makes alot from commercials, but he also loses alot in poker, golf prop bets, etc. Degens always degen.

it doesn't matter if you understand it. in this world it is absolutely standard for the most famous people to have fans. it is natural for these fans to want to meet the guy. he gets paid to rep a site. he should be as cordial as possible to everyone. it's +$ev for him

I have no idea what the details are of the Steve Wynn situation, nor have I read it from a reliable source (not saying it's a false statement, I just have never heard about it)...so I have nothing to say about it.

He hasn't logged many hands at nosebleeds at all (so i don't know how you can claim he's lost a lot - http://www.pokertableratings.com/sta...earch/KidPoker), and you and I have never seen Bellagio numbers to know how much he wins or loses there.

We're talking about the 2nd winningest tourney player in the history of poker ($14mm, second on money list), the face/name of the biggest poker website ever created, and a guy who has had a hand in ALL of Pokerstars' TV ventures since they sponsored him (helped create and script the idea for "Big Game" and "Million Dollar Challenge"...from what has been said about 2+2).

Like I said, I really can't think of a way he's not a multi-millionaire. I hardly EVER hear about him playing nosebleed cash games these days, so I just fail to understand where his money would leak.

He's a head sponsor for the biggest poker site, as a poker professional, hanging out in a casino... I don't care what he's doing, he has to be respectful and play the 'part' that his fame and job requires him to play...ESPECIALLY in that environment. It comes with the territory, and that's tough ****.

I think he prob was in the middle of an important conversation(to him) and wanted to finish his thought as he said, and in the end forgot about the photo, cause it was 10 minutes later. Daniel probably gets stopped a ton during WSOP time in casinos and I'm guessing as Shaun said, that most of the time he's cool with it. Doesn't mean that there isn't anytime that he doesn't want to be interrupted though. As far as being affectionate with his GF, who cares, tons of people are affectionate with there GF's.

Sorry you had a bad experience with DN, but remember celebrities get stopped many times every day of there lives( and yes that includes DN , cause in a poker room in Vegas he's as recognizable as a movie star). So not every time is going to be convient for them.

I've seen many famous people in my life out and about( Im talking about non poker players, couldn't care less about a poker player). Most people know that it is kind of bad form to approach people in certain situations. IE, they are having a private dinner, they are at the urinal, or they seem to be in the middle of a conversation. You chose to do the later, and got the response you got.

By the way, a lot of non famous people probably wouldn't want strangers bothering them in those situations either.

This isn't as bad as opening with Q9s when you have 15 BB then cry call...

People are portrayed on tv alot different than they are in real life. Case in point: Annie duke, howard lederer, johnny (game has passed me by) chan, etc. Most these "old guard" poker players are not nice, upstanding citizens, isn't this obvious by now?

also this is kind of disappointing to hear as I too am a huge Daniel Negreanu fan. Thing is, there's always two sides to a coin, you might've caught him at a bad time or he may get so much of these a day that it gets just so exhausting and he can't even talk to another pro w/o getting harassed by random fans. At first i'm sure they're very happy to sign autographs but after a while it just wears down on you, esp if you're as famous as DN.

We all understand that. But someone as smart as DN degening to busto. I'd have to say close to 0% chance. He probably owns a house or 2 as well and doesn't he drive a Rolls Royce Phantom... How much do you think he makes a month from PS? Probably enough to degen a bit and pay for living expenses?
