Just seen that FTR are doing a Q&A thing with Daniel Negreanu. Not seen him do one of these kind of things before, looks like you can join in live. Should be pretty epic, he's not one to shy away from the issues, just hope there's some good questions.

I think most people are pretty tired at Daniel atm. It's been a bit too much of him and his opinions now for a longer period of time.

I don't like this idea that Daniel thinks he is the 'Voice of the voiceless" 'The People's champ'. Bottom line is, he is Candadian and doesn't know first hand what he is talking about as it is an American problem. Nothing against Canadians but he can't be the Messiah for something that doesn't even affect him.

Him being Canadian is irrelevant since he lives in the US. I'd say the reason it doesn't affect him is because he never played online to support his life style. He still gets to rep stars so his life hasn't been flipped upside down like many others (Americans).

I'm sure he'll be predictably contradictory concerning his condemnation of Lederer versus his support of E-Dog.

"1 hour AMAs" are for high profile people like Obama or Psy or Snoop Dog (who did one of the funniest AMAs ever on reddit a few days ago) or whatever, where you are just happy to see them post on a message board regardless what he's posting. DN should do an AMA where he just posts for a couple of days whenever he has time, not "one hour", now he'll just pick the questions he likes to answer and it'll be the standard boring DN show. Nobody should get excited for this .

I'm under the impression you think this is going to be done on reddit. It's not. Even tho, "AMA", or "IAMA", is registered trademark.

No I know it's on FTR, which makes it even more ridiculous because now people can't vote on which questions they want answered the most...

Let me put it this way:
DN does an AMA, users get to ask their questions and then DN will pop in for ONE hour and answer the questions he wants to answer. Wont be enough for all of them, and he wont pick the questions the community wants him to answer the most obv . Does that sound like an interesting set up? To me it really doesn't.

Really like Negreanu but think this is pointless and is just for attention. Id bet he knows less than alot of the good posters on this forum.

I dont know why people are suprised by this. where do you honestly think negreanu made most of his money in recent years? playing poker professionally or sponsorships and media coverage? it is funny that he is almost turning into a miniture hellmuth compared to who he was 10 years ago.

DN was right about pokerstars and the epic poker league. he's one of the most recognizable spokespersons for poker atm. he's somewhat fun to watch on TV, and he's somewhat of a donator in cash games both live and online.

The man has no shame. I obv. am not a big fan of any self promoters but he's taken it to a new level.

He should work on his game. His voice is about as credible as his results of late.

Why is this even thread worthy?

It's a news thread about some news that a poker forum just announced that I've not posted on a poker site in the News section. Why wouldn't it be? I also reckon that 2p2ers questions would be better in general so that would be nice to see.
