Is Dana White a good poker player? Is Dana White a good poker player?

In the latest 'UFC Embedded' video (UFC Embedded: Vlog Series - Episode 3) Dana, while walking into a Vegas casino with a rack of chips, says:

"I have not lost a night of cards since December 21st. ... So this is like my part-time job. I work at the UFC all day and I play cards at night."

Anybody play with him? Is he full of it?

Don't know about Dana. I've played a few times with Bruce Buffer in Vegas and he is a pretty good cash game player.

You might run into them at the MGM this weekend.

Haven't played with him but.....

My guess is lot of these celebrity types are probably decent players but they play stakes that they can't beat. I'm sure a lot of these famous people that everyone things are horrible players can beat the lower stake live games but they would rather play some stakes that are challenging and loss some money.

Bruce was a red name FTP player back in the day. Obviously not on same sort of deal as Ivey, Gus etc. but he was getting something.

I always thought Dana White was a woman.

He has a girl's name.

Really? Dana Stubblefield. Dana Holgorsen. Dana Andrews. Dana Carvey. Dana Gould. Dana Ashbrook. Dana Rohrabacher.

It's actually a pretty common male name. Let me guess, you also thought Shannon Sharpe was one sexsay lady.

Is he full of it? He was JOKING. Dude has a net worth of $150 million (minimum) and growing. No, he is not moonlighting as a "card player" to make extra income. BTW, I have no clue what he means by "playing cards." Can that mean black jack or does it only mean poker?

If you watch his VLOGs then I assume you know that he is working and/or travelling practically 24x7. I don't know what would give you the faintest idea that he has any time at all to become a good poker player. That being said, nice find.

He is a pit player on a nice hot streak. Good for him.

Maybe he hires the top poker coaches to coach him on his private jet ... I dunno.

What about Dana International?

I remember when he was on the Joe Rogan podcast he said his biggest loss in one night playing blackjack was something like 1.5 Million, but his biggest win was 6 million. When someone says their biggest winning night is bigger their biggest losing night, and much MUCH bigger, I'm pretty sure they're FOS when it comes to gambling results...

He's fos about many other things too, his ufc empire being a prime example, I bet he's up life time betting on fixed fights that he obv has the insider info on.

Dana is certainly not a popular mans name in the UK,is it short for anything?

Out of the thousands of fights that he's promoted can you find an example of a fixed fight? Even if you can what evidence do you have that Dana profited off of this fight?

I didn't know that Dana played poker... thought he was just a Black Jack guy. Bruce Buffer is pretty good at poker and is a great guy at the tables.

Go on.....

I can't prove it nah, I doubt these people leave much of a paper trial. Why does it matter? I can share my view without having to prove it can I not? I've seen some clips where it looks like Anderson Silva has taken a dive, and i'm sure he's not the only one to have soft played/lost due to the money incentive presented to them by agents and promoters who are playing the betting markets.

In the year Dana White was born (1969) Dana was the 227th most common baby boy name in the US and 60th most common baby girl name. Today, it is not in the top 1000 baby boy names and is the 728th most popular baby girl name.

It's not short for anything. In 2012 it was not in the top 1000 baby boy names in England and Wales and was the 844th most popular baby girl name.

You made an unsubstantiated claim with no proof that flies in the face of all logic.

Oh please expand on the dive that Anderson Silva took.

Anderson Silva? Which one, when he got knocked out cold or when he broke his leg in half? At least come up with something realistic.
