Nobody comes off well from this interaction other than perhaps Winter, who still ran the main character syndrome a bit far

Henrick and Chidwick had the right idea. Leave the melodrama alone

If you are tuning in for 4 hours it might be time to reevaluate your life

I don't but i assume the stream runs for hours. I couldn't last 10 minutes watching those nerds. The only highlight was Koons acting like a human for a moment and triggering nerds.

i don't know who koon is but here's how this works

This is an etiquette situation with two different opinions on what the correct etiquette is. Both sides can easily be argued.

Opinion situations between friends or colleagues (and these guys may as well be colleagues) are typically resolved via compromise if no one higher up intervenes.

Smith "can we talk about this another time". Yeah - seems pretty reasonable when talking about it will make the whole table have to make weird housewife and cocktail jokes.

Koon "another guy agrees with me therefore my point holds more weight". Fairly typical bad reasoning, trying to turn an opinion into a fact to leverage your position. More equivalent opinions =/= your opinion is stronger. Also, how that conversation went down is anyones guess - bending the truth is not uncommon to try and win an argument.

Looks like based on the tweet above he figured out he was in the wrong and this is just an opinion thing so props to him, but he came off very badly in this video...

Lol @ Dan Smith literally talking like a reddit or twitter account in real life. Is he even a real human being?
Just hilarious all of these beta males can’t handle a disagreement for more than 30 seconds. Never in my life have I seen someone jump in to stop an argument faster than winter.

He jumped in because it's two awkward ppl arguing about some dumb **** that nobody else at the table wants to hear about. These guys are not gonna fight or resolve their issues, talk about it later or go outside and fight.

In many different sports movies there’s often a spot where two teammates go out at it. One assistant coach goes in to break it up and the head coach stops him and says “let them be”. Sometimes confrontation is necessary.

That’s fiction but there’s truth to it. There’s a definite soft underbelly to this thread that can’t handle Koon “looking bad”. But the right message was being conveyed, it needed to be conveyed, and doesn’t really matter if Koons delivery/timing was not perfect.

Scary in the sense that political grifters have significant political influence in North America, especially those that prey upon people with low emotional intelligence. But that's getting a bit off topic

More to the point that I think the other poster who mentioned Peterson was getting at, imo it seems a bit odd that you're deflecting any and all criticism levied towards Koon by decrying it as people "being soft." That kind of view is really just a cop out. Koon doesn't automatically get immunity from criticism regarding the situation just because he did the correct thing and spoke up. That's an awfully black-and-white view, for a poker player especially

I don't really see what's "soft" about saying "Yeah, Koon did the right thing by speaking up because someone had to say something in that situation, but he also could've handled himself better"

Lol yeah awfully similar!

Earlier in the thread I signed a waiver that Koon did not handle it perfectly.

Now if you acknowledge that Smith needs to knock that chit off with shushing down players we can reach a conclusion

How’s that sound, Mr. Softie

I didn't read every one of the almost 3 dozen posts you have in this thread, so I must have missed that. But the disclaimer seems pretty pointless if your panties are so in a bunch about people criticizing Koon as much as they are Smith

That's what you're this upset over, dough boy? People criticizing them both with the same frequency? lol, you're 10-ply bud. You must have a whole lot of free time as to create things to be upset over out of thin air
