I don’t buy this one. All the nonpublic action is bad for me, even if i get in on it i have to constantly worry about getting scammed. I’d much rather whales get suspicious of home games/private wagers and take their action to public casino games. Also it’s a stretch to imply Coleman is a fish who needs to be protected. He might not have much dfs experience but he’s been around gambling for a while.

Being cheated out of $1M in private sports betting does indicate a little recklessness. I don't mean to blame the victim and excuse the scammer though.

It's not an either or situation. You can have disdain for the scumbag while also having little sympathy for someone who acted stupidly and should have known better. The whole, "never blame the victim" pathology always struck me as ridiculous. If you act foolishly and do stupid things that have predictably bad outcomes, you don't deserve the same sympathy as someone who is victimized through no fault of their own. It eliminates the whole concept of agency and responsibility. If you get shitfaced and ride around the subway in the Bronx at 2 am with a massive gold chain around your neck, nobody should feel sorry for you when you get robbed. This doesn't make the thief that robs you any less of a scumbag. Amazing how this is hard to understand for many.

If you read the first few responses, which my post was clearly referring to, you’ll find that approximately none of them have any sympathy for the victim of the scam who is trying to out the scammer to keep others from being scammed. Rather, they all bash the victim without casting blame on the scumbag. In fact, a few posts gave kudos and accolades to the scumbag for being such a good scammer.

actually, reading up on the history of the famous cons and con artists is quite interesting, of course they are total scumbags, but it certaintly takes a talent to pull this kind of thing off

Colman does a ton of crypto stuff, I know first hand as hes done loads of transactions, purchases, yield etc with pals of mine for 7 figs+ on the regular.

Clearly he's insanely beaned, wanted to sweat something he assumed was a flip or close to and now realised he was being scammed and outed the people.

He doesn't even request for it to be settled, he just states what happened as a PSA.
