Why is there so much negativity here?

I posted this because:

1. I thought it was good for poker. Dan is definitely not a 'professional poker player' however that's how people are perceiving him. And with all what he's flaunting, it's quite obvious it's good for people to live under the illusion that poker brings you all that.

2. He isn't harming us. He's living his life and he's enjoying it. Yes, I would love to wake up and find a hot woman in my kitchen. Who wouldn't? I would love to have that much money. Who wouldn't? So let us dreamers be happy for him and dream.

3. Dan is actually a nice guy. He's not as douchey as people make him seem. That's seen on how he replies to people in Fb and Twitter. Plus that donations thing was quite nice.

4. Self made or not... He became famous by himself. And that counts for something. Money doesn't guarantee that. He works hard on marketing himself and it seems to be paying dividends as everyone is interested.

you honestly feel he's accomplished something admirable by managing to become famous on twitter? to me it's pathetic. i feel very sorry for people who have been duped into thinking life is all about (pseudo-)celebrity and fortune. absolutely disgusting!

Hi Dan, I really appreciate what you are doing for poker, its a great look.

Next time you are in London PM me, you can pay me to be your friend for a few days. Il show you the real underground dance music clubs, not the Chelsea **** rich people go to who dont know about real parties.

I'm just saying that he's not resting on laurels. He's making a name for himself in the social media world which to me is quite difficult to do. He's having fun and personally I think it's entertaining.

And to all the people that are hating on him here:

1. If Dan chose you to give the $100k to, would you say no because you disagree with the "disgraceful" life he leads? No. You'd jump in like a barbarian.

2. If Dan asks you to spend a week with him, would you say no? I doubt any of you would. I'm sure it'll be a fun life to live at least for a week.

why does he have to care to put pictures on instagram? isn't that what instagram is for? maybe he just likes to show how he's living and inspire some people or maybe he does care. who knows but he probably doesn't care about what people in NVG say.

i'm not jealous but it would be nice to live like that. he seems to live life on his own terms which is what I would imagine most people want to do.

He posts pictures of himself beating up prostitutes on instagram? Didn't think so. Not everyone knows that about him and honestly I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like he just randomly beat them up GTA style. They had that **** coming to them.
