My colleague asked me if I knew of Dan Bilzerian and said "It's crazy that he won $50 million playing poker but I wonder how much he lost."

It wasn't just the viagra, he'd been up for 4 days doing blow too.

With his dads issues, his brother disavowing his US citizenship and his claims of huge poker wins, I've wondered if the they all didn't concoct all of this to launder money his dad socked away.

Complete speculation on my part, it just seems a little odd to have all these characters in one family and so much money involved.

If just a few people could corroborate SOME of his wild claims I would feel a lot more confident about accepting the 50 mil figure. Have any of his SEALs classmates commented about him on the record?

He doesn't seem to play in Macau and I've never heard of anyone talking about games he's been seen playing in. Even real celebrities like Tobey, Affleck, etc were outed long ago for playing HS almost as soon as they started playing. How has he been able to shield virtually every poker game he has ever played in from the public?

Still, I want to believe. I'll never judge someone based on their public persona, esp when it appears to have been crafted and manipulated to such a degree, but the guy is living the playboy life and is certainly an interesting poker personality. Best of luck to him, whatever he is trying to accomplish.

It's entirely more likely that he lost $50m than won $50m in the last 12 months. I'd guess it's more like lost $12m in the last 12months.

Surprisingly great interview! I had about 0% expectation going in that there would be any chance this interview could be decent. Dan is just self-deprecating enough to come off as believable and definitely has the education/intelligence to plausibly be a winning poker player.
