On May 7th we have a vote in a city in North Dallas called Farmers Branch. It will be to allow cardroom use in the city. We are looking for support and people with ties to Farmers Branch to speak.

If you are from the area please come out and support us. I'll get there at 5 and it starts at 6. Should be a fun one, I hope we get the opportunity to have a room in this location for large tournaments and a second stream location.

Do any other cities have upcoming votes? I think that Mckinney, Melissa and Anna are a little more progressive.

Don't forget when he attempted to run for Mayor of Las Vegas and tried to oust Carolyn Goodman.

The NIMBYs are strong and irrational down here in DFW, they've taken me out a few times as well, bummed you didnt get it passed

They'll probably drive to the Winstar this weekend to celebrate

All you need is 3/5? Incentivize the 1 on your side to advocate for you. Sounds like you walked in hoping a face value strat would pan out and got crushed.

The great game of lobbying

They don't make it easy with poker still having the perception of being a strip club instead of being a wonderful experience for those putting their money up to compete (debatable)

Poker could use better high level marketing to help communicate the positives the game can bring to the community and people who play it.

I could make a good argument for for and against being in a small Texas town and having a big ass gambling hall move in to the town.

Talking about his success was naive and made him look arrogant. The main point is to convince others of why it helps them, not to self-promote. He needs some coaching and would benefit from taking a few seminars at McCombs, even if the material is stilted.

Joking around in the background while someone was at podium probably not helping either.
