Are there really 4,000, 10K buyins ready to fire at this event in at Wynn Vegas in December?

I would have been surprised at 10-15 mill gtd, but 40milly? that seems silly

they got about 3,000 with a 15m guarantee last year. Tournament numbers were way up for the main compared to 2022. I'd be shocked if they miss.

It drew almost 3k entries last year and they’ve added an extra day one plus a gazillion satellites. I’m going for the 1k, 3k and trying to sat in for the main. There is a lot of buzz around this event.

I think many who play main as only $10k of the year, such as myself, will consider this as well. It is the "other" major $10k now and clearly second biggest and growing.

Someone with better knowledge of set theory could chime in on this but my expectation is that the bankroll needed when you have a negative ROI will be a function of i, and last I checked, none of the major banks were accepting imaginary currency

If you play lower tournaments with smaller fields mixed with tournaments like this it would lower RoR. Kinda impossible to play 100k tournaments like this in your lifetime. I was always told 100x buyin for tournaments as well that seems drastically different than I was advised since RoI at 50% is pretty high as well. Kinda surprising but I guess not really and explains why all mtt grinders are delusional.

what variance number are you using for this? Probably fewer than 1% of tournament players have a 50% ROI. Try using a 15% ROI for a typical winning tournament player.

I won a seat to this, super excited as biggest tourney before this was about 1/3 the buyin, and fully intend to play but may not be able to get a USA passport renewal in time

If I don't am wondering if there's anyone interested in buying a seat at a bit of a discount (obviously with finding a reputable well-known escrow and doing it in a way that's safe for both parties)

Just this one tournament last year where they had a **** ton of influencers go full hog promoting the event.

I swear last year they dumped a **** ton of money into promoting this event, seemed like they were giving away seats left and right last year. Feels like they're not going full blown promoting it this year. Curious how it does with a monthish to go.

If I am not mistaken, it isn't quite a freeze out because players are allowed to fire one bullet each day one. There will be quite a few players prepared to fire 4 bullets for each day one.

What is interesting is that there is a WSOP Circuit event going on in the Caribbean at the same time. Might be enough to miss the guarantee, but probably not.

50% roi in a live 10k. Lmao. Damn you better be one hell of a player to have a 50% roi in a live 10k. I’m sure it’s achievable but most players are going to have a negative roi or closer to 10-20% honestly. It’s live though with satty players- I’m sure it’s a soft 10k but still a 50% roi in that field and you are a damn good poker player.

609 day 1A of 4, 660ish mostly thru day 1B so around 1300 total after two rounds. Two more to go. 3,847 needed to meet the guarantee. The sweat is real!
