I once played with a guy who said he bought and sold Delaware license plates for a living.

I guess the fewer the digits, and the lower they are, the more valuable.

It was one of the most engaging conversations I have ever had. I learned a ton of **** about importing cars, customs, EPA regulations, and all sorts of ****. Great conversation.

Three or four hours into this conversation this absolutely gorgeous woman shows up and starts playing. Gorgeous. Turns out she knows Mr. Car importer. They quietly talk personal stuff. My immediate thought is good for him.

After a few minutes, he introduces us. We make small talk, and he pushes us together. No other way to put it. Literally. The game breaks, he says he is going to bed (it is 2:00 am) but he says we should go hang out. So we go to the bar, turns out she is his daughter.

Yes, his daughter.

He wanted her to hang with me. She was willing to do whatever. We hung around at the hooker bar for a while. She literally told me how she "closed" all of her father's business deals. Even though her father and I were not doing any business deals, he appreciated the fact that I talked to him about his business for 3 or 4 hours and had good conversation. He was literally willing to give me his daughter. Literally.

I was 100% freaked out.

I went to bed by myself that night and I couldn't even masterbate. I was literally freaked out about the circumstances that led me to meet the most beautiful woman I would ever get close to. Even to this day being happily married, it still freaks me out.

WTF.
^ lol what is this? When handed a gift you take it.

Met this mom at pool who is five years younger than I am and she offered her daughter. So I took the daughter and I’m still taking the daughter

If someone offers to pay for a hooker for you and she is beautiful do you accept? I wouldn't.

Also, I am probably in the minority, but for me, I don't want to sleep with someone for whom it is only transactional. I prefer sleeping with people who want to sleep with me. The sex is better.

Finally, is anyone else bothered by the fact that it is likely that they are contributing to this poor girls mental issues by sleeping with her?

A fairly high percentage of prostitutes have mental issues, I would bet a lot of money the percentage is even higher among women who are prostituted out by their fathers.

I sort of missed the part about her closing deals. But she was in there playing poker perhaps she likes having sex too. I wouldn’t presume to judge.

I may or may not have done it based on vibes I was getting or not getting at the bar. But getting “100% freaked out” is a lil’ soft lol

Imperial Palace what a great place to play poker and blackjack. Rod Stewart dealing out 21 was the nuts at 3am. I remember sitting in the poker room there in maybe 2000 and having a conversation with a few guys. Along the lines of this thread he was talking about interesting profession choices. Cant remember the exact story but he had a friend who was a school teacher making 50k a year. And she made made $150k a year flying in to vegas to sex strangers once or twice a month. Shes very high end i remember him saying. That was the same trip I saw some drunk guy who just won $50k at craps, run up a stack overnight at Harrahs to 10k at a ****ing 1/2 table. Playing every hand and ordering three drinks at a time. Said he just spent 3k on two hookers and blow before he bought in. Probably the biggest shittalking over the top experience I have ever seen in my life. He was even **** talking the waitresses while tipping them 100 or 200 or nothing. Depended what his mood was when the walked up to him. The late 90s early 2000s level of gamble by everyone I knew will never come back. Everyone would bet on anything. Cards, games, what the 9th song on a record was. Things were great before the internet gave everyone info to solve everything.

You're not wrong and I miss those days.

This is anecdotal but it wasn't uncommon back in the 90s to hear of casino employees getting stupid tips like this. My cousin was a croupier back in the 90s and he said he would get random $25 and $100 tips constantly.

People still tip and you do get the occasional large tip, but it was nothing like it was back in the 90s, according to my cousin. I think it was because gambling in the USA was more of a novelty (and perhaps a better economy). If you didn't travel to Vegas, you were likely travelling to AC or a riverboat type of place, if you were even able to gamble at all. Nowadays, almost anyone in the USA has a casino within an hours drive, or much closer.

I don't know why this sticks out... but years ago, I played poker with a husband/wife. They tell me that they have a business building model trains.

(Stock image)

I thought this was a "Curious profession." The team tells me that they have a small group of clients, who are mostly older and extremely wealthy, and these elaborate model train sets that they build takes their older clientele back to their childhood.

At the time, the guy said that he was working on a train set for a guy that cost well into the 6 figures and that these setups could take up an entire room. He said that one model train project could take up to a year to complete, because it's all hand crafted, hand assembled, everything is one-of-a-kind.

In my opinion, it sounds like the model train community is a big --> measuring contest and retirees with big bucks will spend whatever to have the best train setup. That was how I perceived it. Not different from any other hobby that people take seriously.

This was just a world that I didn't really think about existing, but it makes sense that you could make big $ with something like this.

I have zero interest in trains but that’s a really cool set up and I would enjoy watching it and checking it out.

Now if you do enjoy trains and it takes you back to childhood that is somewhat priceless. Doesn’t seem like a dic measuring contest to me

Maybe not the best wording, but the way I understand it, when one person gets a new train set... everyone else in the model train group tries to one-up each other. Maybe "Keeping up with the Jones" is better wording.

When this was explained to me, I thought.. wow, what a good business to be in.

You're right, you don't really appreciate these train sets until you get to play with one in real life.

Was interesting to meet someone who found a niche and addressed a demand.

It sounds like a great job. You are getting paid to do what should be a hobby and client is also footing the expenses.

Typical regular in my casino is a tradesman, professional, or small-business owner making over 100 k. No kids. Divorced or never married. Most of the easy money comes from gangsters and the little brothers they treat with wads of cash. When a gangster wins a high hand and gives his social security number for withholding tax, he has washed his money.

Yes it was

Another move they made together “Made” wasn’t quite as good but still worth checking out. Some very funny scenes

How does needing fresh blood to survive make someone a bad person?

It is the old story about the scorpion and the frog. Getting mad at someone for their nature is kind of pointless.

Sorry. I knew my comments were against the rules. But I couldn't stand to let the earlier against-the-rules comments go without a response pointing out their horrendous nature. My bad.

**** it, man, sometimes you gotta break the rules to speak truth to selfish idiots. Your presence is requested in a bunch of threads full of conservative-tards in the politics forum. It's overrun with idiocy.

Did you make any jokes about the 'Hunt for the Red Queen', or if he was really tight and then suddenly played a hand 'up periscope', or when someone stacks him 'drop the depth charges!' or when he picks up his chips at the end of the night 'off to dry dock for repairs' or did you just leave him alone because he could nuke you if he took a disliking to your jokes

Lol I love the celebratory parade, “ Yeah no politics on this board but let me state once again how wrong those dumb fooks were”

Either stop chirping about it or allow the conversations again lmao

Edit to add, I wasn’t engaged in it and don’t care about those issues. But it doesn’t take much guts to beat your chest when no one who disagrees is allowed to reply.
