Sunday morning in Stockholm, hung over, cant sleep,,, log into FT. Mr Hansen and 5 others , on table Antnious doing 20k flips,, with blinds etc AND RACKING THE MONEY UP TO 20K PER PLAYER,,,that is about a buck and a half under 100 k per hand!. Then to watch them all check the flop turn and river, and BINGO someone hits a 100k win. I watched for half an hour, so the rake for FT payed for a new Rolex or two ( dont come back at me with the math on this ,,,,it was a joke!!!!)
Now don't get me wrong , it was very exciting to see and the rail chat was the busiest I have ever seen on FT, but, are we starting to see the scare and thrill of the pure gamble come back to take over the big game on FT? rather than EV's, Implied odds etc, etc , and for at least two of the players I cant fathom how they can afford it, one has been murdered on FT recently with losses, but there he was,,, Surely not staked !!!!!! thoughts please

red pros get 100% rakeback and hourly so it's actually +EV! But these guys are crazy.

So a lot of these "stupid pros" are multimillionaires purely through the game that seems to be the most popular pastime on the net now even over online gaming.
As a guess I would say about 10 to 20 million people have at sometime or another played ring or sngs since the internet revolution... could be more hard to say.
Like it or not there is a nice feeling about taking another person's cash without holding a gun to his head,, maybe those in the big game all know eachothers games so well by now that they are prepared to flip to make money faster,, 5:1 odds every hand,,,lots of "Stupid" players would think that is a good price

it's like any home game ... at some point somebody suggests "silly" games like "GUTS" or something that tilts the variance, after which, playing 'normal' poker doesn't make sense anymore since everybody's appetite is whetted for action action action.

But these bobos are doing it every night now ... they are just bored and can't get it in fast enough playing PLO.

I think they should just play games like Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and maybe Hi Ho Cherry O ... except HHCO has a bit of a skill element so maybe that's off the table ... maybe just high stakes Candyland would be cool ... if FT offered Candyland I'm sure these actionauts would be playing .. $100K for whoever gets to GumDrop mountain first!

B/c they are playing they are making slightly +EV bets since the rake is small, they get an hourly rate + rakeback. It's slightly +EV, but they enjoy the gamble.
