This study might explain why this thing is spreading so fast

"A study awaiting peer review from scientists at Princeton University, the University of California-Los Angeles and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) posted online Wednesday indicated that the COVID-19 virus could remain viable in the air "up to 3 hours post aerosolization," while remaining alive on plastic and other surfaces for up to three days."

Yes, or potentially face something far more catastrophic.

Well considering the US has experienced a great boom period for the past decade, the longest economic expansion in the history of this country, people certainly should have been saving money and working extra hours if necessary to save for a rainy day. To do otherwise would have been extremely reckless and foolish. Has history not taught us anything? Did they not cover The Great Depression in high school? You seem to think we should bail out these fools that rather than working hard and being smart with their money decided to spend the last decade partying, taking lots of smoke breaks, and eating triple cheese burgers with large diet cokes (because Diet Cokes are healthy obv).

-154 on cancel now!

I'm wondering if the reaction to close everything down won't cause more deaths and suffering on the longterm. This if it causes a large world economic recession.

I recall what happened in the south of europe last decade in particular in Greece and Portugal, similar or even worse things can happen in the poorest countries, depending how governments and society will respond.

I also prefer a healthy lifestyle. Has nothing to do with coronavirus tho, thanks for your input.

For this and your continuous high volume of trolling posts:

Newsflash. No more posting in this thread by you or you will face a ban.

Now that the White House has instituted a 30 day travel ban on Europe, and we all know that many WSOP participants are from Europe, is it possible that the WSOP will wait until the end of the 30 day travel ban before making a final announcement as to whether WSOP 2020 would be canceled or postponed?

There's nothing wrong with temporarily relinquishing your freedom, so long as you are able to retrieve it when the situation returns to normal.

You're ok with laws, right?
Except that never, ever happens. See the permanent "emergency" powers claimed by the government after 9/11 via the Patriot Act et all. Freedoms relinquished are not regained.

That would suck if canceled. I'm scheduled to work it.

I don't expect a final announcement until May.

Seems like the overwhelming dominant move as far as announcement timing of WSOP 2020 is concerned is to do it very close to the beginning of the event.

If this assumption of mine is wrong then we'll know very soon.

\.
The idea is to lower the number of infections each day but lengthen the time it takes the virus to traverse the population, so victims don't overwhelm the health care system.

Hey redneck, great post!

OMC here.

I came down with something on Mar. 7, could be flu, a cold, or COVID-19. No testing is readily available in my area. Here is how I think I was infected:

I'm over 60 and have other medical conditions (a "comorbid condition.") I've been wearing an N95 respirator in public since Feb. 15 (typical OMC behavior, right?) So I went to Winco Foods at 2 AM and I figured **** it, nobody at Winco that time of night is going to come within 10 feet of me. Mask stays in pocket.

Wouldn't you know it, there is an Asian woman in the meat department standing near me and coughing and sneezing like, well, a caricature of someone uncontrollably coughing and sneezing.

So 5 days later I can't move a muscle and have a fever. It's now 3 days after that and Tylenol has made the fever mostly go away. But if it is COVID-19, the odds are 1 in 6 that it will come roaring back in a few days, possibly sending me to the ICU (if there's any hospital capacity left). I'm updating my bucket list to see what I can get done within the possibly few days I might have left on this Earth.

GG, maybe.

Sorry to say but seeing as they can actually have a draft online, what is the liklihood they'll expose owners, coaches and top draft picks to Corona just so it's live? Is it THAT big a deal?
