Just read an LA Times article about Caesars Palace reopening and they are STILL charging resort fees! I mean, you gotta be kidding me. So on a typical 3 day weekend in June for example, Friday and Saturday will be $149 and Sunday will be $99. Total of $397 not too bad right? Nope with $71 in taxes and a whopping $135 in resort fees it comes to over $600!!

I am sorry but when most of what these casinos offer won't even be open initially and the uncertainty of demand to stay, it is shocking they are charging resort fees right now. I am stunned. I hope it bites them in the ass.

though i know it kills a lot of you i really think people will come back to Vegas in droves when the casinos reopen

look around the country at casino re openings....people have a lot of pent up gambling in them to do

flights are cheap which will help also....

just think of all the unemployed making more than they ever could have imagined the next few months and with no work...

think of all the people who love to party and haven't really been able to go out the last few months.....

its going to be glorious....

In these uncertain times in NVG and with an abundance of caution I must say "glorious" is the last word I would use to describe the crowds of people pouring into casinos.

maybe you could come up with a better word?

Word from today's Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board meeting, via Gary Rotstein, that poker won't initially be available at the state's land-based casinos upon re-opening.

https://www.pennbets.com/pa-casinos-...sks-sanitizer/

"It is anticipated they will only reopen when Gov. Tom Wolf announces the region they are in has advanced to a 'green' phase determined by reduction in COVID-19 risks, instead of the red and yellow phases now declared around the state."

"Poker rooms won’t reopen initially 'due to players handling cards and chips.' Reconsideration will be given based upon guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health."

How sick am I? Just cancelled a cleaning at my local dentist, but I'm looking at my shoes thinking about playing live poker in less than one hour. Hmm.

How sick are you? Not as sick as you might be in a few weeks time, should you go and play.

They are getting paid to Lou.

No other explanation.

I believe Elon Musk and Carolyn Goodman are behind it.

Doug Polk is trying to outspend them but you know that Tesla money.

These shills have the crazy idea that we should return to business as normal.

Frankly like many on here I'm hoping a second much more lethal second wave comes through that locks us down indefinetly.

I believe that they would need a lot of snitches in that new paradigm, something a few of us here would be great at....

I'm curious what you think nonsense like this accomplishes. Believe it or not, there is room for people to have concerns or think it's too early for poker without attributing bizarre **** like this to them.

Get help if you really believe this m8. Why on earth would you WANT the pandemic to be worse? That’s sick.
05-20-2020 , 04:58 PM
That's his oh-so-clever sarcastic take on what others think.
05-20-2020 , 05:03 PM
Doomers are dead wrong but I don't think any of them WANT a second wave, even if they come across as enjoying it.
