It's gonna spread a lot more rapidly than SARS because SARS only spreads when you're showing symptoms and Corona19 spreads when you are asymptomatic.

Corona dead rate ~2%, infected 10k people already (and will infect way more)

idk it seems to me like arguing semantics on whats deadlier, I would say for sure more people are gonna die from corona than SARS just due to how much its gonna spread, but the people getting hit are the older ones w bad respiratory issues or some other ailment anyhow.

Also, agree with every post Clayton has made so far. To the OP, you're not wrong that it should at least be on the backs of organizers' minds, but it's WAAAY to early to actually be worried about it -- even in light of the Triton Jeju series postponement. The outbreak has a specific geographic center, and the Jeju series is more likely to be affected by it than Vegas. So don't read too much into that decision.

And, for what it's worth, the aforementioned H1N1 epidemic in 2009 had far more cases and fatalities than SARS did, yet the WSOP ran as scheduled. (Or maybe that was the REAL reason they decided to delay the final table to November *dun dun dun*)

During earthquakes, deaths from heart attacks are counted in addition to fatalities from falling debris and so on. When it comes to the Corona Virus, casualties from panic triggered events such riots, stampedes, gang rampages,lootings, etc. should also be counted for the sake of accuracy.
