With so much misinformation flying around, it is helpful to actually see the accurate figures of infections and deaths around the world

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

South Korea has 1,766 cases, there are no returns from North Korea...
02-27-2020 , 12:25 PM
It's funny that in a situation like this North Korea will be the safest place to be.

Just because you have aids doesn't mean you have to spread it in this thread.

I speculate that North Korea actually created the CoronaVirus in a lab and then found a way to ship it to South Korea and China, its two sworn enemies.

Kim Jung Un definitely has the motives to do so. His nuke program isn't exactly working. Maybe he has decided to give biological warfare a chance.

ok I think you've shown in the thread that your brain power won't take you much further in poker than where you are now, so you can give it a rest, take it easy mate

let's stop derailing with this nonsense now

lol my brain power? Because I said people should be concerned and that sample size is a thing?

And you say that like I am someone who needs to go further in poker. Or needs it at all. Nice small simple world you live in like I said.

No worries now, VP Mike Penis has taken over the corona virus fight. The same guy that doesn't believe in science and thinks the earth is about 2 thousand years old, what could go wrong

Agreed to some extent. The regime in China can control the population to a degree that is impossible in places like Britain. I mean, it's not like everyone inside the M25 is gonna get sealed off from the rest of the world, as per Wuhan, once there are two dozen cases in London. It just wouldn't or couldn't happen. Loads of 'public gatherings' will be outlawed though, so the eventual and inevitable spread in Britain might still be slower than it initially was in China.

Why worry about stomach cancer when there's already lung cancer? That's already 1 thing!

China is North Korea's closest ally...

It is very easy to see what is happening and will increasingly happen, as everyday more and more people in new countries in every continent are getting infected, yet you think it is too early to worry about this.

As posters here correctly point out, travel to the event, and the conditions in the event, will be hazardous.

Numerous international sporting events have already been cancelled, but yes, hoorah, let's all be complacent and say it is too early to take action.
It's like you and I are having two completely different conversations.

One guy asked about the plans he had made, personally. I suggested that worrying wouldn't help, and he should monitor the situation. Unless he has some unmentioned impending deadline to make a cancellation decision, I can't see any reason he needs to make any decisions now. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing all the evidence out there says there is already lots to be worried about, and ignoring the way that the virus is regularly doubling across the world so it will be out of control by the time WSOP hits Vegas. So your suggestion that it is too early to worry about now is just silly.

It is almost as if you don't actually have a clue about what you are talking about, and haven't looked into this at all, so are just casually saying the first thing that comes into your mind, which is it is to early to worry about (it isn't, as the figures would show you if you bothered to look at them).

As you are so unconcerned, I take it you are planning to take a holiday in China, or Venice, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany …

Just out of interest, at what stage would you actually think, "coronavirus is a problem to worry about?"
02-27-2020 , 06:27 PM
Again, if he has no impending cancellation decision to make, why does he need to do anything now? Because that's all I'm talking about.

Sadly for most people it will be when they get it themselves or someone in their household gets it. Outside of that, it's just a problem for others far far away. Which is why the likelihood of it spreading to everyone at some point is pretty much inevitable.

Suggestion:

Raise the Main Event live version buy-in to $100,000. This will lower the number of participants tremendously to where the entire event can be held in a very highly hygienic (one doctor standing behind each of the dealers at each table) enclosed area located in a well chosen Caesar's owned property.

Keep the Main Event online version at $10,000 buy-in.

Yes, two "world champions" in one year. Then the two champs play each other heads up on October 20, 2020. 10% of the price pools of both main events will be set aside for the winner of this historic heads up match.
You're a very odd person

Haha China is NOT a sworn enemy of North Korea. Just the opposite actually. There is no country with a closer relationship with North Korea than China.

Is there ever fact in any of your posts?

Major esports tournament happening this weekend in Poland (afaik w/o cases) was just closed for public

wsop must be incomparably larger risk

Timex set the line at 12-1 it gets cancelled, and he’s taking the side that WSOP will not happen so you have to assume he puts the odds at more like 10-1 or even better.

That said, I saw a post today from WSOP promoting the series today—not sure if that’s indicative of anything
