RIP

Norm was one of my absolute favorites of all time.
His interviews on Conan include some of the best comedy I've ever heard. His joke on Howard Stern, the little Johnny with the Vietnam vet uncle, just legendary. His podcast show was funny with Adam Eget.

The Conan joke with his old Uncle who used to Ride the Rails with Kitchener Leslie is one I'll include here.

I played with Norm back in 2003 in the Mirage 20-40 limit hold 'em game. He was mostly quiet while playing and beat me in our one serious hand against each other.

Norm was good friends with 2+2 poster "Gabe" and the two of them would make poker road trips to Vegas back then.



Norm is a top ten all-time comedian. You Tube is loaded with great material from him.

The moth joke is a good example of his unique style.

Played with his friend in a SNG at the WSOP a couple years ago. He railed for a bit, and made some jokes. I'm sure a lot of people have much better stories, but it was a cool little moment for me as someone who grew up watching his stuff. Seemed like a fun guy to be around.

He was often playing at the legendary Mayfair in NYC and he never said a word. Joel Bagels would be yakking away making everyone laugh and not a peep from the pro which was disappointing.

He came to perform in a nearby town many years ago and dropped in to CAZ's 20-40 LHE. Not a peep but I decided to go to the show because I was curious as to why he was considered great.

Well! W/I 30 seconds he had the house roaring and it never stopped.
