Don't know if serious. That's my whole point is floor man refused to call someone over . I can promise u this wouldn't have happened had they been in that area and someone alerted them to what was going on. The owner/upper mgmt can't be everywhere all the time

Pics of Matt Affleck's gf?

Were her "comments" about Vrabel posing as a girl online for free coaching?

Pretty sure she is the girl behind Vrabel (seat 8).

Here are 2 more shots of the 10-handed table in question:

I'm finding it difficult to see where OP could have been standing such that he was "was directly on the rope and could touch the player in the 4 and 5 seat" and had the "loud players on the rail to (his) left and located directly across from 7 seat (Vrabel)".

I'm guessing OP misspoke and meant the "loud players" were to his right behind seats 2-4.

and he also said he could see seat 4 and 5 cards unless they were holding their cards up i don't see that being possible

Wait so this dude has been on the rail harassing people before, and now he's up in arms about people doing the same to him?

Holy Shiiiite!

That's an amazing post / letter OP! Well done and I sincerely hope the right people see it, understand it and above all else - freaking do something about it!

Good work, mate!

Shoe: not sure when these were taking, I'm not in these pics. and I did not "misspoke" (is that a word?) my report is very clear and you can see in this pic how close the rail was. I'm a builder/developer and I know distance and space measurements. Not sure if this pic was before or after I was there...but when I was there, the rope and stand posts holding the rope "ribbon" was stretched and moving in. I clearly remember seeing that barell in the pic and being happy I was not standing behind it and smelling it..... I posted a few pics during the event...

Yes, misspoke is a word, the present tense of which is misspeak. Which is how you should have written it in your reply back to shoejoe questioning its original use by him.

not an english major, but technically shoejoe might have referenced this word?

write. (mĭs-rīt′) tr.v. mis·wrote (-rōt′), mis·writ·ten (-rĭt′n), mis·writ·ing, mis·writes. To write incorrectly or carelessly: miswrite a word; miswrite a historical account.

Yes, and in that instance, the floor did their job, went over to him and warrned him about harassing players at the table, and he stopped.

The same thing should have happened here. As soon as people on the rail started to harass players at the table, the floor should have warned them to stop or they would be removed because THAT'S HIS JOB!! It is not his job to decide what rules he will or will not enforce based on if he likes the player or not.

I sent Jack Effel an advance copy of my latest historical novel to read, and he hasn't replied back yet. Not sure what to think. Used a stamp too.

Misspoke is a word. Barell is not.

If you antagonize someone from the rail, they give you one warning and they kick you out."

So your meek little victim is perfectly fine with engaging in the exact same behavior that he is now complaining about. He taunts players from the rail until he is warned that he'll be kicked out and then he apparently quiets down.

So if, as you say above, that there can be absolutely no justification for ever taunting a player from the rail, then what say you to your little good-natured twitter friend who's a good person with a good heart?
I am very glad you shared this.
I almost felt bad for Luke Vrabel for a moment, but this post saved me from that icky feeling.

What a piece of work this guy is.
I'm sure in his mind he was completely justified when he was the one doing the antagonizing.
Now though, he is playing for potentially life-changing money, it is completely off limits! No antagonizing from the rail at all. Period.
Did he ever stop to think that maybe the person HE was antagonizing was playing for "life-changing" money to them?
He does not get to be judge jury and executioner and decide WHEN it is OK to berate someone from the rail.

On the same, token, however, the WSOP floor DOES get to be judge jury and executioner, and should make a consistent ruling, regardless of the participants.
I believe they were dead wrong for letting this occur, but I don't believe he should be reacting the way he is.

When it became clear to him that they weren't going to do anything about it, he should have adapted. That's the amazing thing that separates us from animals, our ability to quickly adapt to situations.
There are earplugs for sale 10 feet outside the Brasilia room. Put some in.
Put on your headphones. Tune the crowd out. Play your A-Game.
If he wants to be elite and not subjected to being antagonized, then rise above the obstacles around you and win.
Instead of ranting and calling some girl a fat ***** on social media.
Prove it on the felt, not on Twitter.

No one once has posted exactly what the abuse/taunting actually consisted of. What specifically was being said?

"Some of the logic above is warped to say that because he's admitted previously being a rowdy railer that any rowdy railing that crosses the line of acceptability is now okay if done to him specifically."

Yes, this is exactly what I'm saying. Not sure how the logic is warped, seems like just desserts to me. Its kindly of laughable he gets riled/triggered by it but feels justified/has the right to do it to others.

I have to say as well that I'm not sure I believe that some comments from the rail threw his game so far off that he busted. It seems to me like he busted and then decided to blame Affleck's girlfriend.

I'm surprised no one has a video of the abuse in question. (Not saying it did or did not happen) just seems like nowadays everyone has their phone out for everything.

True. I can watch NYPokerKing come second in a tourney from like three different angles, but there's absolutely no footage of this WSOP final table?
