I told Gregorio at the time he really didn't come across as impartial as if he had some vested interest in the whole thing.

The point i tried to make which it seems like no one got is that while Occam's would suggest that Jose is exactly what he claimed to be (the simple explanation): a young genius that genuinely rose through the ranks. Perhaps there might be a more complex explanation which is essentially the entire CRUX of this thread and the one that preceded it.

Is GIRAH a manufactured product of DIH et al, (the cabal so to speak) ? A complex explanation which one would automatically reject using Occam's razor

care to elaborate? or just baseless accusation trying to stir the pot?

It only arose as a result of people linking his post thinking it to be incredible foresight or w/e.... it seems clear he was suggesting #1 and just clowning on conspiracy theorists. Basically nothing new and irrelevant to current discussion, which it would be if he were actually suggesting the convoluted #2, as it now seems closer to the truth than 1

It was mentioned in the previous thread that HQ/JM offered to pay everyone back in a Skype chat, then suggested he wouldn't be willing to if the victims went public. This is the log he's referring to and is absolutely relevant.

basically tried to bribe him,offered 30k extra as compensation for jose's ''mistake'' but said if this goes public it would not be paid.

Anyone who tries to downplay the severity of all of this should be lynched by the poker community, regardless of his/her previous reputation. This is absolutely unacceptable, and in order to prevent future scams from happening, we need to reprimand everyone involved. To do any less would be a huge mistake on all of us as a collective whole. I have faith that all will do what is necessary to uncover all of the hidden details of this scam, and all of shady people that took part in this, whether it be before, during, or after the scam took place.

If jungle wanted to go to Portugal he would've gone to Portugal without the Canada thingy. No need for him to have faked that thing.

The bold didnt happen. Haseeb seemed to want to help us get repaid what we were scammed, if Jose couldn't or wouldn't. And I believe Jose was owed money for the house deposit? So I think that money that was owed to Jose could have been used to repay the scammed (if Jose didn't).



Jose came to me. Skype call with Haseeb and Jose. Haseeb told the group Jose admitted cheating.

and then there were various discussions after that.

Jose offered us 30k in compensation (different from the money he owed us from scamming) for w/e because he felt bad. And I beleive it was told to Jose that the 30k was obv in no way a bribe to keep us quiet and that this was going public, and he still wanted to compensate us.

For the record it appears like at least one other person lost $ to sauron and if he is for whatever reason not sent $ back and we still recieve the 30k compensation (I believe this is currently being sent to us) I will give w/e share is sent to me to this person who was also scammed.

-The entire story of "The Portuguese Poker Prodigy" was a fabrication?
-There is a mass conspiracy behind this that reaches as deep as DIH, JM, Sauce, UrNotInDanger ext...

Remember how hard it was for most of us to believe this story when we first read it. Imagine how hard it must of been for the players in the study group to seriously question such a reputable figure. Don't be ignorant to any clues just because you don't want them to be true.

Seems like Girah has some mental issues. Wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't handle all the attention and pressure and it induced him to become mentally unstable or something. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be punished obv.

I just want to commend MossBoss, TooCurious, kjemmy, imfromsweden and all those involved in taking this **** public. Way too often we've seen in the hsnl world where no one ever goes public with a lot of these cases. They just tell it to their close friends and it remains within their confines. However, bringing it public discourages future people from trying to scam, etc. b/c they will start to think of the repercussions.

There must have been a lot of pressure b/c of the parties involved, but you guys have set an extremely good precedent for the poker world. Good job.

This is not needed at all. Somewhere ITT is a blog from GIRAH detailing the plans btw him and DIH/JM to live together in Canada in order to be close to other HSNL'ers like Galfond. He claims to have paid 3500$ for a first class tik to Vabciuver. Following JM's 'deportation' or border turn-back, the new plan was for LISBON or PUERTO RICO. The gist is that they all planned to live together and that DIH even after he was made 'aware' of the scam still planned to co-habitat with GIRAH.
