I found it very offensive for players like me (i have 4 years of online poker and never cheated the game) being associated with this kid, because right now in everybodies mouth its like the portuguese pleayers are cheaters.

Every country have good and bad players and every countries have players that find ways to cheat on other players.

Iam here to ask to the OP to delete the word Portuguese poker prodigy from the thread. Portugal its a very good country full of nice people, and as portuguese i dont like this kind of association.
Cristiano Ronaldo though?

Interesting. Can someone flesh out exactly what Jose means by this? Sounds like he did for his friend what he is suspected of doing for DIH and JM.

Right and even if they to that highly unlikely because they didnt knew how much time they would stay (prob rented a flat for 3 months and only after decide if they like it enough to stay a year or more)

that means they where paiyn 12 months in advance
hilarious

Awesome cliffs, thanks for posting

RangeyMcTriplmerge, you are the nuts

The mastermind behind having two high profile online poker personalities axed. Some might say it was MossBoss but he was just a victim of circumstance (and one of the foolish pawns). We all know who the original knight in shining armor was.

I must confess though, I doubted the fruitfulness of your efforts and the apparent massive time and effort you spent in debunking the Girah myth.

Yhea, i don't think they did that. Ofc you have to pay like 2 rents in advance but it will be like 6k, or maybe 9k but not more then that.

I think Rangey knew too much. He must be involved in this whole thing somehow.. i'm pretty sure he's trying to use reverse psychology on us, making us think he didn't do it by being all part of the investigation and everything.

As Hasseb and Daniel are american, they can only stay 3 months anyway.

Absolutely correct, how could I have been so naive.

RangeyMcTriplmerge, please disclose all of your bank statements and whereabouts for the last 12 months and immediately submit your computer for forensic review. Also submit the names of 6 of your closest relatives and friends so they may be interviewed as to your purpose and intentions of obsessing over an 18 year old from Portugual.

Or just say you were bored post-BF and that's fine with all of us.

What stinks the most (to me) about this whole affair is that it provides more ammunition to the anti-Internet poker dunderheads in Washington.

As people have mentioned already, The accused people in this thread are acting in a guilty way. They obviously read the thread as their reply has been either in this thread or a blog somewhat covering things mentioned in the thread.

I dont understand how people who care about their so called rep so much they are willing to send money via a bank transfer to keep their names out of the orignal post here. Yet those same people offering the money wont give simply a bit of time, not to just throw out a generic post or blog, but to answer directly questions that are put to them here.

As it has been said before, If there was a 13 page thread on 2+2 accusing me of being a part of a scam in any way I would definately have more than 1 out of the near 1300 posts in this thread.

Well i live in Cascais so if you guys want i can try to find José house and stalk him, lolol. Supposedly he lives on Quinta da Marinha, it shouldn't be hard to find him...there are not so many houses there.

As with DIH rather than an extremely long blog telling your life story, Simply come here and answer question directly

Yes, I was of the mind set that you were flogging a dead horse (I was admittedly paying very little attention to developments), but thanks for your perseverance. It is now clear that your suspicions were very much grounded.

yes im sure all the powers-that-be are mashing the F5 button.

I notice some people are coming to HQ defense now that he has a well articulated blog post today.
Just want to remind those people of something....

There are murderers, rapists and con men guilty of crime, but not in jail because they had well articulated and intelligent lawyers that spun the story so well. Just keep reminding yourself that every time HQ comes in here to defend himself. Some people are just really good at lying.

Lol, I feel sorry for the ones who got scammed. But the morale of the story is always the same : when you play with serious cash, you are the only one to gain access to your cards. Period.

I need a new F5 button.

When you find them please ask Dog to loosen the gag a little around the kids mouth and give him some water.....

Could someone please put some cliffs on what DIH is precisely accused off?
08-08-2011 , 03:46 PM
What a day to have two doctor's appointments.

First, to DIH:

1) Your initial blog post did not come off particularly well in my eyes. You can't have it both ways (**** all those NVGtards, but dear God please make sure they don't find out). I know you recognize the "power" HS regs have because you made sure to use that power to punish naysayers in the original Girah thread. But it's comes off as desperate and phony to say, "I don't care what you ******s think" when we all saw the chat logs where you were desperate to keep your names out of this. So you do care what the masses think, because they give you and the other HS regs that power by respecting your opinion and your accomplishments.

2) You didn't meet him "a long time ago", you met him last year, and you were extremely quick to start touting him as the next big thing. Your loyalty seems extremely misguided given the length of time you knew him, given the severity of the offense. Since I don't know you, I don't know if this is typical for you, but if it is, I think you need to take a long, hard look at who you call friends, and who you are willing put your name behind. I actually hope the entire poker community (the "powerful" HS regs in particular) learn that, if nothing else, from this whole incident.

3) Your motives for why you would even consider still moving in with this guy after you knew what he had done remain ill-answered, and shady looking.

4) I find it difficult to believe at face value that you only ever played on one of Girah's accounts one time. Just one time, and you happened to get caught? But everyone does it? Your blase attitude towards the seriousness of multiaccounting is disgusting. Not everyone does it. I still have hope that it's not common even among HS regs. If it is, then I've lost respect for a whole lot more people as a result of this entire fiasco. Please reconsider your stance and issue an appropriate comment/apology, because "yeah I did it but just once and everyone does it anyway so whoops my bad" doesn't cut it, IMO.

To JM:

1) You said you weren't involved in this "**** storm", but guess what, you are. Obviously you can choose to become more involved in this thread and your defense or not, but given your past dealings with Girah, it is naive in the extreme to try to make it appear now as if you are completely clean. I don't mean that to imply that you were involved in the scam, but you were involved in turning Girah into what he was, and giving him legitimacy, and I think you should recognize the damage that has done to a specific aspect of your credibility.

2) My previous comments on the willingness of "powerful" HS regs willing to lend their endorsement to largely unknown characters apply to you as well.

Final thoughts:
I remain open to further evidence, but I lean towards believing that JM is guilty of nothing more than falling for the Girah con, and possibly also wanting to cover the scandal up. I find the theory that the entire Girah set-up was nothing more than an elaborate plan for JM to scam Durr to be lacking any solid evidence and too far-fetched for me to believe at the present time.

DIH appears to be much more heavily involved, and not particularly remorseful for those things he admits are wrong (multiaccounting in particular). I appeal to him to reconsider his own culpability and to also explain why he would even consider still living with a confirmed scammer who had just cheated several other poker players out of thousands of dollars.

I also believe that this is a lesson to everyone about trusting people you barely know, and only know online, for any significant amount of money, and that you should only vouch for a person that you trust completely, and only vouch for those aspects you have PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of the other person as being trustworthy.

Final thought - While many have said that it seems unbelievable that some unknown relatively young man could scam at least a dozen intelligent, well respected HS regulars, it is at least a possibility (which would mean that many of the deeper conspiracy theories lack credibility). There are relatively well known cases in both criminology and psychology of individuals with incredibly advanced sociopathic and manipulative abilities even from a very young age, who despite their very slick con (including the ability to convince others they were doctors, lawyers, millionaires, ect.) were often caught in seemingly silly and childish lies and schemes (petty theft from friends, repeating lies even when caught). If that is the case here, then DIH and JM are victims as well, albeit ones who took their loyalty to someone they thought was a friend and a gifted young player too far, and will have to weather a blow (small or otherwise) to their own credibility as a result.

Also, I think that if either DIH or JM have names for Girah accounts that have previously been unknown, they should be disclosed at this time. There is no reason at this point not to allow the community to see as much of his results as possible.

Reports from London have spotted DIH at Heathrow on the first flight back to Lisbon...

Macedo run for cover!

I obviously ain't going to stalk the kid, unless i see him walking on the street, i might just go and talk to him and ask some questions about this all mess...if people really want to stalk him i suggest to add some of the students of his school on facebook and ask some questions.

Is Jose actually Sauron/dollarman, or were those names actually a friend?
