He says he will be leaving pokerstars effective immediately and has been enjoying more family time due to lockdowns/covid, will likely be playing less poker in future 'potentially'

- Noting though that anyone who has left pokerstars in the past and made one of these videos all said they chose to part ways / are leaving, so at this point I assume pokerstars allows them to say it that way when they don't want to renew their contract

After 17 years, he is no longer a big draw. Pretty good contract for winning a donkament.

Yeah it's actually cracy that he was sponsodered for that long. Expected stars to drop him 4-5 years ago. He made the very best from his wsop win. Also always seemed like a nice and decent guy.

There is one notable exception to this, but I got a cease-and-desist letter delivered to my house the last time I mentioned it here lol

The only people who actually left of their own volition are the ones that quit in protest. Vicky Coren, Ike Haxton, Kanu7, etc.

Didn’t leave in protest but did choose to leave on my own. Had a renewal ready if wanted.

Hi Chris, well then I stand corrected. I'll say instead that most players did not leave voluntarily.

Truly the end of an era. Really glad to have met Chris briefly at the PCA years ago, he is a great guy and the best ambassador for Poker that Stars or anyone of us could have wanted.

17 years... what a run.

Thanks for shaping the last 14 of mine. Best wishes to you and your family.

Remember when PS lobby had his avatar on the bottom, along with greg's, joe's and the latest sunday million winner?

Every single one of the early stars OG pros is gone now. Chris was absolutely an incredible ambassador for poker.

Its a bit of a shock he lasted so long at the company. He feels like the franchise, its hard to think of Pokerstars without thinking of Moneymaker. One day he will get sponsored by another company and its going to feel like when Hakeem Olajuwon played for the Toronto Raptors. Congrats on the run Chris.

I’m truly surprised any US-based players were retained by sites after black friday. It’s not like they were able to play much on those sites.
GL on your next journey sir.
