He played WSOP last year, and won POY. I think this is more about “why no public statement, ever?”

I don't think anyone who actually understands what happened would be enlightened by the "full tilt story". Maybe there are some things we don't know, but I feel like I have a general understanding. It isn't as simple as "they stole our money", but its probably not as complicated as Chris and others involved would like you to think.

Is our money gone? Yes
Is their money gone? Not as far as I know.

Re: Chris Ferguson Is Really, Really, Really Sorry

I did not have money on FullTilt when it closed. So I'm still a fan of Chris Ferguson. I hope he wins POY for the second year in a row.

Go Chris! #IAmALoverNOTAJudge

I guess he was inspired by the Facebook and Wells Fargo commercials that have been airing relentlessly during the NBA playoffs.

I was on the fence, but Hellmuth’s endorsement really puts my mind at ease

Re: Chris Ferguson Is Really, Really, Really Sorry

It’s a shame he gave up on his rhyming after the first couple of lines.

Hi. I’m Christ Ferguson.
I’d like to take this opportunity,
To address the community,
About the eternity,
That I’ve had your money,
To rub on my titty

I don't think he plays high-rollers. Mostly in the $500-$2k range judging from his hendon page.

Blood boiling.

Yes, I know red pros such as myself had a cushy deal with the rakeback and hourly and stuff. But at the same time, before being a red pro I almost never played LHE on full tilt, and basically had played exclusively high stakes LHE on Stars, so becoming a red pro def cost me a lot long term when factoring in the amount of hours/hands I traded from Stars to Full Tilt in the name of playing smaller but reducing a tonnnn of variance when getting that red pro deal (that is, until I ended up losing my balance on Full Tilt).
Oh you poor useless prop leech, I feel so, so sorry for you.

Did you guys watched the second podcast with Barry Greenstain? He talked about FTP at around 3:02:45. Strongly encourage you to whatch it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0orDLrg5ETY
And from what I understand Bittar is the biggest criminal here. He fake some documents and the FTP board could not see what is really happening.
I think that Ferguson had to talk before years but even now is better then later.

I can't believe he could watch this video and think it was a good idea to release.

I think we're going to see more peeps trolling Ferguson on smartphone video at WSOP this year, given that players who messed with him got pretty decent social media exposure last year. This statement is really the only thing he could do to possibly curb it, but it will of course probably not work.
Links please!

Re: Chris Ferguson Is Really, Really, Really Sorry

has anyone seen his POY banner? I walked through Rio convention three weeks ago when I was out there for an event and it was just starting to get set up for WSOP, so no flags out yet. Really curious where they position that sucka! Hopefully somewhere in Brasilia so it can tilt all the top pros in the $10k mixed games...

GG Jesus - you suck at business but really no more incompetent than Elon Musk or Dick Fuld.

At this point I think the only ones "tilted" are the screaming punters who lost their $95 roll on Black Friday.

I think most "top pros" have moved on from the debacle, and most realize Chris was probably the least culpable in this mess to begin with.

I kinda am glad he did the lederer files. even if 99% o it might have been complete bull****

also question to those posting about wanting the "WHOLE STORY" what is it you want them to say? that they ****ed up and didnt segregate pools? we already know each of them knew what the **** was going on and how it was going about it for the most part. wat else would you like them to discuss?

havent watche dit but I bet money barry G prolly backs chris close to 95-100%

Not saying that is right or wrong. but im assuming he says we dont know the full story.

edit* barry G says by 2009 howard and chris were just collecting money since the company didnt need them and ray bitar was one of the heads at that point in time. they asked chris in 08 that he didnt need to be involved as much and howard a year or two later just wanted to leave and not work as hard since he made enough $$$.

and OF course he has a ivey v bitar story..

Ya totally surprising it was so short. I'm not sure how many times we have heard, "some day the truth will come out". It seems some day never comes. They have been saying that for a decade. I also did like how he needed to read it off of a prompter, or cue cards or something. You had 10 years to memorize 6 lines and you couldn't do it!

I think it's more about him hoping this "apology" he issued will keep him from receiving the type of verbal beratement and backlash he got last year from the community during the wsop. I doubt his sincerity.

Re: Chris Ferguson Is Really, Really, Really Sorry

I take issue with the idea that everyone was made whole in the denouement of the Full Tilt scam. I, for one, never received any funds, as I was already involved in a processor dispute when Black Friday came and went and it was never resolved. Nor did I receive the small balance I left on my account.

Ferguson and his scamming cohorts had no right to line their pockets with our funds. They made little restitution out of pocket. Ferguson and Lederer (and others) are still basking in the luxury they have purchased with our money. They still have millions of dollars of the money they scammed in their possession; in other words, they got away with it.

It's an easy shortcut to characterize we recreational players who were not paid as "screaming punters who lost their $95 roll on Black Friday," and it's true that the balance I lost was under four figures, which is immaterial even by my retired-guy spending money standards. But it was my money, I won it fair and square, and I never got paid. And I am not the only one.

This reoccurring false narrative that full restitution was made is nothing more than fake news, and it's insulting to the many of us who were stiffed for our balances, however small they may have been.

My 4 figure balance was shorted because “check was issued”. I downloaded the transaction data spreadsheet, and attached it to dispute the DOJ resolution process and alleged correctly that FT was not honoring any check withdrawals shortly before black Friday.

My dispute delayed the payout, but eventually was paid in full.

My impression is that there was money left over at the DOJ and any reasonable dispute was paid out from this money.
