Whilst Chino was in jail I wonder if he tried scamming 'Bubba' for some smokes with no intention of paying him back.

somehow I doubt it....

its because of thinking process like that that he still scam people.

The video exists believe me. Trying to come up with a worthy cause (non poker related) and we will run it. Have about $2,200 in bids so far from various people that have heard about it. Took place in JAB gym, www.jabmma.com, in HK early this year

Its easy to make suggestions of payback when you are not directly involved. I will compliment subiime for his handling of this matter because he realizes that at the end of the day, this is about him, and his own integrity. Its worth a lot more than 40k. Its clear that Chino has no integrity and couldn't care less. Someone will eventually settle the debt in the manner that many here suggest, but it doesn't have to be subiime or OP. They realize they would get no satisfaction from it. They can be comfortable in the knowledge that they're doing the "right thing" and can move forward with their heads held high and their reputations intact.

When you meet Chino for the first time, he can be very charming..... He would come over, and if sees I am struggling, he would take out a $1000 chip, and dump it on top of my dwindling stack... and he wouldn't even expect to get it back..

He would always pay for a meal and drinks.. If he sees me and I would need a ride, he would hand me a key to his car and tell me bring it his place next day... etc...

These kinds of things would go on between friends... so I can see where if he asks me to borrow $10K, how can anybody say no to that??

LOL @ all of these people saying to ban him from poker or casinos. It is none of the Casino or Poker rooms business what he does or who loans him or who he pays back or who he scams

There are known scammers in every Las Vegas Casino and they cater to these types because they KNOW when they get a hold of a grip of cash it is usually going right to the sportsbook or pits

If these types were cheating in the poker room or casino then that is a different story

I am one of the members of the standards of conduct committee for EPL and Monday we had a long but confidential meeting regarding players who have previously acted in a manner that would be deemed unprofessional.

Offenses such as cheating, poor sportsmanship, public intoxication, a criminal record, and failure to follow financial agreements are all things that the league will not stand for.

We compiled a list of all players who we believed had previously conducted themselves in a way that if continued would lead to their elimination from the league and personally reminded each individual that they will not be allowed to participate in the league if their future behavior is the same as their past behavior.

I don't want to talk about any specifics but I will say that people who are poor representitives of the game of poker will not last very long in this league and the epl will publicly "out" people who are kicked out of the league rather than simply tell them not to show up and keep it hush-hush
Gonna be funny when Chino ships the first event.

Spoiler:

Yet the APPT is based in Manila and has not run any events in Macau this year. (Nor has there been a APT event there in 2011).

Furthermore, Rheem tweets daily and doesn't mention ever being in Hong Kong this year.

For those who laugh at subiime for not using violence, would you go to jail for $40k? I don't think so.

Your logic is flawed. Beating someone up does not equal jail. Beating someone up and getting caught equals jail.

Darn, not that Mr. Cheong cares about my insignificant self but I thought I would post him an apology. Misread the thread and got Cheong/chino mixed up in this thread and thought Subiime was levelling. I know noone cares about my apology but at least I wanted to make it clear that I have always respected you and your game Subiime. I shall go back to my lurking and be quiet from now on, again I apologize Joseph. And thank you for your contribution to Joplin.

I understand how you might mean well and all and its cool to be on the lookout for scammers etc, but on this instance you are just plain talking out of your arse, TH is as legit as it gets, if he says video exists, it does, no need to doubt his word.

Its obv if you don't know who he is and that's ok but there is no need to play detective on this case.... "believe me".
