I came here looking for answers. Ive been out of online poker for a long time but i still play from time to time. The last time being in 2017.

Last night I was playing and noticed a huuuuge red flag on ignition. I played for about 8 hours and ended up winning a solid amount. After my session I wasnt feeling very comfortable with what happened so I started doing some research that led me here.

I don't have any type of proof of a superuser and a small sample size but ive always been the one to stand up for the legitimacy of the play online to casuals or the tin foil hat types.

After my session and reading through this I immediately cashed out from ignition with the intention on not coming back nor will I ever assure anyone about the its safety.

I hope this **** gets cleaned up and online poker makes a return but i fear that will never happen and it's dead forever. Such a shame

Overreact much? I have not heard about serious problems on Ignition and several mid-stakes players there are on 2+2 and would have said so otherwise, imo.

I agree with you that I am overreacting but what I saw didn't sit well with me at all. Over my 15 year experience in online poker I have never once even remotely felt the way I did or been paranoid. At this point I don't have much invested and just decided I didn't want the headache.

I hope I'm wrong but for now I felt it was best to step back and monitor the situation before diving back in

I agree, it's a giant red flag to me that you won a solid amount, especially with such a giant tin foil hat on your head. Good job you cashed out your solid win.

Ya sometimes I run good but thanks for trolling. I wouldn't have came here if it didn't alarm me. You can go through my post history dating back 10 years if you would like and see that's not something I would do.

I can't prove anything nor do I care to even try but it seems the state of things is probably the lowest it's ever been and that's sad because if we ever want it back everything needs to be on the up and up.

I just felt the need to contribute that I saw some discrepancies because these sites need to be held accountable and ensure a good clean fair game. That's all

And if you also weren't aware, Bodog/Bovada/Ignition gives you access to all hole cards 24 hours later, so if there was super users it'd be obvious. Unlike WPN where we can't even get mucked showdowns after going on 5 years of being told they were coming.

what was the site that would grab hand histories from pokerstars that got banned? i wonder how they managed that , also why cant that be done for acr?

Ahh , your saying acr doesnt record them for themselves at all? interesting. because if it was possible to get them from stars it has to be possible for any other site.(hh isnt public so they have to have been doing something to get them) i dont know how.

i mean the info is being sent out so its not impossible that it could be grabbed.

No, I'm not saying that - I would assume they have the information recorded, but since it's not sent in hand histories and the hole cards aren't shown at the table, I don't see how anyone outside WPN would be able to grab it.

And I should add that I could be a bit out of my depth on this topic since I don't play there, so I don't have first hand experience, but I'm pretty sure I have it right based on what I've read. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I don't.

I'm in a Facebook group run by a fairly popular poker vlogger (Johnnie Vibes), and members routinely ask for recommendations of U.S.-facing sites. Inevitably, several people will suggest ACR. I tell people to avoid the site, but when asked for reasons why, it's tough to provide a quick summary –*certainly one that would fit into a comment thread.

Another reminder of how many relatively avid poker players are still in the dark about many issues in the game. If someone trusts the word of Phil Nagy over Joe Ingram (or vice versa), that's fine, but it's interesting that the vast, vast majority of players have never even heard of these situations.

Just witnessed one of the most odd heads up matches on twitch. I think there was one flop in the whole heads up match. Foxrox folded his way to second. No one up $35k in 4500 games plays like this. Watch from 5:31 till the end you can kinda skim through

Yea, one of the "suspected" Latvian bots that grind every day. My observations playing with these accounts for 1000s of hands is that they play much more passive at final tables. In chipEV spots they are super agro pre and with there flop c-bet/turn probe frequencies, but they become insanely passive at FTs. Don't think I've ever got HU with one though, but I sure want to now. Thanks for sharing.

You can see it's a bot just from the timing. Nobody has those consistent slow timing frequencies HU when things aren't going well. There is always at least some actions that are done quickly.

It actually took the same amount of time to fold the last hand with a 1.1 bb stack leaving itself 0.1bb, lol.
