VPNs exist and are easily available online and are surely already being used.

Creating a WPN account is free and easy. All a botter would need to do is stagger the registration dates and pepper the locations across the globe using VPNs and virtual consoles.

It's not that hard to detect if someone is using a VPN. Most VPN service providers us a static IP address for their gateways, and it's fairly easily to attain a list of them.

You could also do a reverse Domain Name System lookup and be able to easily tell whether a user was using a legit ISP or a Virtual Network.

The range of setups for "VPNs" go from basic to extremely GTO undetectable. The basic setups work well on almost every site. The extremely GTO ones will never be caught with the current measures.

The ability to find people and register accounts from other countries is ongoing and quite easy to do. I've received messages about this over the past couple days. I don't see how anything but regulation having a chance to combat against this. This is one of my favorite things about the untracked US sites, you communicate directly with the players and you can take it up with them directly if you have suspicion.

I think that local vpns, which would be undetectable with cross-referencing, still always have high latency. I haven't heard of anyone resolving that problem yet.

Used to play Icebank a lot when I played on ACR. Had like 20k hands with him. He chatted sometimes, tilted sometimes, and never struck me as a bot. Definitely mass tables and grinds a ton

I dont think icebank is a bot. He responded to some solid chat box banter in a bunch of SNGs we played together

Neither of those 2 are bots imo. Played many thousands of hands with both and Christine is just a crusher. Icebank chats and spazzes out quite a bit, no way he is a bot. Icebank is just a very good player who is great at playing tons of tables and knows the best way to manipulate the beast/SNC. Now, icebank could definitely be more than 1 player, but no bot based on my like 50K hands with him.

Fun fact about his name, it's pronounced "I spank myself" (icebankmiceelf) per him posting in the WPN sub forum lmao.

For what? None of the alleged shenanigans have been explained away yet and he is 100% right about the majority of what he is saying. As far as the alleged accounts go, we shall wait and see and I'm sure he will offer up an apology at the point he is proven wrong.

Nah, maybe in a couple of days, maybe tomorrow, I'm not sure. Has been taking up way too much of my energy and I think it is driving me insane because there is no way to prove anything. I think it is becoming a waste of hours because there is nothing good that comes from it. I don't get the impression the site cares what is going on, they care that it is being talked about. I will simply tell people to stay away from the site. Trying to decide how invested I want to be in this. Everyone close to me tells me I need to stop wasting my time on a world that doesn't give a **** about itself or others in it aka online poker and really, poker in general.
