Lou Diamond Phillips (2008 LA Poker Classic prelim)

Jose Canseco (Venetian Deepstack single-table satellite)

Bill Laimbeer (I busted him from the old Saturday noon tourney at Motor City Casino in Detroit circa 2006. He was short stacked and open limped 9To OTB and I checked A6o in the BB. Flop ATx. I chk he went all-in and I called and held. He was drinking beer and was friendly. He walked over and shook my hand after busting. Apparently he's a nice guy when he's drinking.)

William Hung (Wynn Saturday 25K GTD in 2015)

Played with Evel Knievel several times at the Maxim in Vegas. I believe he was a host there in his retirement, but spent most of his time at the bar and poker room.

Dan Henderson was coked out af after watching a fight at MGM. He walked over to my Hooters 1-2 game and lost a hand immediately to me. He then proceeded to let me know that he f*cks the chics I masterbate to.

Great thread idea!

May 2015 I played 1-2 with Macy Gray at Mandalay Bay. No one really bothered her, but she was weird and smelly like I would have expected. Didn't stick around long enough to see how she did, but it wouldn't have surprised me if she dusted off her stack.

Have also played one table over from Orel Hershisrer at Aria and Les Miles at Bellagio. Both had pretty good stacks and seemed to be having a good time.

James Woods , the actor, is a frequent player at Foxwoods.
I was behind him a line for poker tournament
I saw him and "Hi said my name is Ward, nice to meet you"!

Well, he swung around, we shook hands, and he said " Nice to meet you my name is "Jimmy Woods".

We were set up to each other at a table, but I left early because he was going to dinner with his family.

In the tournament I chopped for one and two, and what a nice guy "Jimmy"/James Woods is.

I played 2/5 a few times with Orel Hersheiser at the Venetian in 2011. I sat directly to his left during one of the sessions (didn't punish him too bad... haha!!). He's a very sociable guy --- I'm a big Cubs fan and he offered up a few stories about playing against the Cubbies teams of the 1980s, and what it was like to play at Wrigley.

I also played 2/5 with Don Cheadle at Caesars Palace. He was relatively friendly, but more reserved than Orel. He's definitely a big celeb --- as word spread he was in the poker room, non-poker players began to show up to take his picture.

Got to play with former MLB outfielder Mickey Brantley several times. Very engaging and nice person. Also played briefly with his son, Indians outfielder Michael Brantley. He was quiet, but seemed nice. Also was put together like a pro athlete. In contrast, AL rookie of the year Michael Fulmer looked like just a regular guy when I played at a 1-2 table with him a few times when he was in A ball. Nice kid, and I guess I was impressed that he was comfortable with coming to a poker room alone on a weekday instead of hanging out with teammates because he liked the competition of poker.

I played 2-5 NL with Steve Martin at the Wynn around 2011. He was clearly taking the game very seriously and played pretty tight; weak and nitty if I'm being unkind. He was pretty quiet and at one point a woman came over from the casino floor and asked for his autograph which he duly gave. The only other thing I remember is his face looked weird, I guess from plastic surgery.

I played a 1k SNG with Jerry Buss and 4 of his business associates back in 2009. Two of them were the limp limp fold play straightforward kind of players. Jerry was fairly nitty, busting a couple of his friends balls for being terrible at the game.

It ended up getting 5 handed, and two of the terrible players plus Jerry were still in. They would blind down or limp down to 3 or 4 bbs, and then double. This went on for 2-3 hours. It was taking so long that the blinds got to an unheard of 800-1600 at 5 handed (this would feel more significant to the WSOP sng regs).

There are no breaks, and the dealer needed water, so I flagged down a cocktail server and got a couple bottles and snuck it to the dealer. After another 15 minutes after getting to 1600bb, Jerry and friends wanted enough, they were tired of playing. I had just lost an all in and was down to 2 big blinds or so, and so it was looking bleak for me until they proposed a deal:

Chop this entire SNG evenly. I quickly agreed along with the other random guy who was in similar shape as me in the SNG. 2k each when my equity was probably around 500 dollars.

Sometimes there are good beats.

If that was 2004 Aruba WPT Main event, I played with him as well. He was splashing away and kept making comments like " c'mon call me - I don't know what I'm doing - I'm just an actor". He was actually entertaining and quite fun to play with.

i played with a basketball star who was apparently 1 of the top 10 players in the nba at river rock in vancouver. i don't even remember the guys name, but he has some mediocre fat chick with him. we speculated it was his publicist. he was a pretty chill dude and not an atrocious player. lots of people gawking from the rail.

Bill Macy (actor) -played with him over 10 years ago, surprised he still alive. He's an old guy, really old like 90 years old

Played with Morris Chestnut ( Ricky from Boyz n the Hood movie)
Vincent Laresca - Actor also, plays a lot of small parts but the main reason I recognized him was because he was in the movie "juice" with Tupac

Played with all these 3 at commerce casino

Kevin Hart - didnt play with him but sat at a table across from him at Hustler Casino. He was playing 2/4 or 3/6 limit hold em but this was about 8 years ago when his star was just begining to rise. He used to go there on weekends. Really quiet at the table. Seemed like a nice guy overall
