I nudged at him with my elbow (he was on my direct right) and said, “Oh come on, you’ve made bigger calls than this...” and he laugh stacked off with 3rd pair.
I played 5/10 NL with Jamie at the Wynn literally a day or two before the 2006 ME started. He was still a no name at that point in time, but he was the EXACT same way as he was during the series. He was obnoxious, playing crazy hands, talking during every hand he played, antagonizing players in hands with him, and absolutely drilling everything he played. This was a super loose, deep stacked game for 5/10 because of this. Every stack was at least 2 or 3K deep with a few well over 10K.

I remember one hand after he had tangled with another reg a few times and it had gotten pretty heated verbally. Jamie was about 8K deep and the reg had 7500 or so. Jamie raised pre to $50 utg and then called a 3 bet of $200 from the reg who had position on him. 3 players saw the flop. Flop was A25 rainbow. Some action on the flop between the two. Turn was a blank and they got their stacks in on the turn after a lot of talking from Jamie. River blank. Reg had AA and of course Jamie had 43 off. Jamie rakes in a 15Kish pot after calling a $200 pre 3 bet and flopped the nuts against top set. A fight almost broke out after that, lol. Alan Boston was at the table as well.

You know the rest of the story from there. I was stunned when I saw him on TV dominating the ME shortly after this, while playing the same crazy style of cards and using the same type of table talk.

He didn't cold call, yet you said he did in two different spots of that story.

Thought this was about Lebron and was about to argue, only to see it referred to Westbrook. That's funny, a billionaire.

Here is one that is super obscure, not so much of the players but because of the situation and locale.

I played with Scotty Nguyen and Men the Master in a free tournament in Atlanta Georgia.

HOw these 2 ended up in a sports bar playing free poker together is one of the most improbable stories of all time.

"His new contract will take his lifetime earnings to about $335 million."

He is 29 and one of the 5 best players in the NBA. If he stays healthy and we assume he will get 2 more contracts under rising NBA salaries due to TV contacts, plus massive endorsement deals, I'd say it's very possible. Health or a big decline in production would be the only ways I could see him not getting close. Plus I said "done with basketball" which leaves room for coaching or TV. If he ends up in LA he'll certainly earn more than he does in offcourt money.

Played with Ray Romano last February in an Aria $125 daily or whatever the midday buyin is... an absolute gent. Pretty nitty but knows what he's doing.

Agreed to pose for a photo during the break if I told him what I had in a hand with him where I 4b jammed all in on river and he made a disciplined face up fold with AK on a K high board. I'd flopped a set.

Got to play some 2/5 with Daniel (Clarence) Wolf (the guy who got angled by Alec Torelli) in Florida. Even though he's not famous it was funny to ask him about he situation especially b/c he was a little sauced up and i got to throw a needle in here n there. I'm sure he hates me for that but i mean come on how do you not take Alec up on that deal where he gets some of his action at a discount!

I often play with Jimmy Kebe, former Lens, Reading FC and Mali international footballer.
He lives in London these days and plays pretty much every tournament at the Hippodrome. Very good player.

Ron Jeremy was on the next table over on day 1b of the 2006 ME

He is old in basketball years at 29. Best case scenario he gets another 10 years in the league. You assume NBA salaries are going to rise?

He has earned 1/3 of a billion so far. Again he will not earn 1billion, let alone have a networth of 1BB+. I''m not saying he won't be close. Not that much money he can make off the basketball court imo. I ain't buying into his fashion line....Coaching and TV pay a pittance compared to the NBA, not worth mentioning.

As I type this, Chainsaw has a Tweet/Facebook post up in which he complains about the worst beat of his career. (He lost with JT vs KQ on a TT7 flop.)

Yours is worse.

Re: Celebrity and (non-poker)famous people you've played with. The more obscure the better!

Once I played in a tourney with Joran Van Der Sloot - the guy who probably killed Natalee Holloway in Aruba. His face looked familiar and I finally placed where I'd seen him before. I asked why he kept going on those news shows when they clearly were against him. He said "because they gave me money." He seemed like a total scumbag. A few months later he got arrested in South America for killing another girl.

Another time in Asia I played in a cash game with Boyz II Men. They were super cool and hilarious. We spent a lot of time talking about crap we always thought was a waste of money until we actually had money (examples: nice watches or 1st class airline seats).

I played a cash game with Montel Williams at WSOP (talk show host) a few years ago. He was super nitty.

Being based in Vegas and having played a ton of poker over the years I've played with a ton of "poker celebs" so I probably wouldn't even count them. But I remember the first hand I played versus Johnny Chan. I had the stone cold nuts full house on the turn or river in a small hand where he couldn't have really had much of anything. I bet and he tanked a ridiculous long time in a small pot before folding.

Vanessa Selbst is a straight-up c-word. Once I played a WSOP event and was directed to the wrong table. The floor walked me straight to the seat. The dealer didn't ask for my card until about an orbit in and once the mistake was discovered they directed me one table over. I hadn't even played any hands but she basically berated me as I picked up my backpack and chips. This was like the first or send level of the tournament too. If she were a dude I would have fought her. If she ever fully transitions I'll probably punch her if I see her.

Josh Hutcherson around 2015-16 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was super quiet and everyone at table was oblivious who he was except me.
