Don’t forget the late John Coleman.

Played 1/2 with Randy Couture once, busted him in successive hands (AA vs. QQ and KK vs. AK) and he looked really pissed. We were sitting right next to one another, and he was obviously trying not to blow a gasket. 3 or 4 hands later, I had AK and raised, he re-popped it and just stared daggers at me. The man is huge and hard as a rock.

I folded.

Another time I was playing 2/5 at the Aria with Donny Osmond, who could not have been more charming or friendly. Just a fantastic guy all around. He asked everyone's names and would call me "Domenico."

We got into a big pot HU and I ended up busting him. He was good-natured about it and said, "Domenico, why you wanna do me like that, eh?" Like he was Super Mario. Ridiculous accent.

I said "Sorry Don, but that was for "Puppy Love."

The whole table went OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

And Donny Osmond literally fell on the floor laughing, got up, and hugged me, pretending to punch me once or twice, laughing hysterically.

One of my most favorite times at a poker table. I'm a huge, huge fan now.

Played w/ Connie Hawkins also.
Yep, played with EJ many times.

Played with the Hawk a handful of times, his game of choice was low limit O8. RIP.

Also played with Shawn Marion and Russel Westbrook.

I'm sure I've played with baseball players and golfers out in AZ, but unless they are super famous, I usually don't recognize them. Much easier to spot an NBA player (and there are fewer of them).

Also play way too much with a former U of A star runningback. He can be quite annoying at the table. His brother who played at ASU is much nicer.

I think it was 07 played with Teri Hatcher at the Wynn.

She was in a white velor suit and had sunglasses on and was still one of the hottest people on the planet.

In 08 I stacked Jamie Gold in a 5/10 game that also had JRB in it. I had an over pair in a pot I 3 bet squeezed and still got 4 way action. I check shipped for like 800 more into a 400ish pot and Jamie went into the tank. I nudged at him with my elbow (he was on my direct right) and said, “Oh come on, you’ve made bigger calls than this...” and he laugh stacked off with 3rd pair.

Also in 08 I coolered Jerry Yang at the Wynn 2/5. Flopped top set vs hs TPTK for 100 bigs.

He lead the flop and instead of making a normal raise I semi tanked and announced “One million!”

I don't think this will impress 2+2 posters, but I've played in my home game with two of Canada's Governor General Award Winners for poetry (our top annual award). One of them wasn't bad but he quit after two times with us because he recognized that he was having trouble folding. The other one we banned because he was so bad that our group-pity factor kicked in. (He was only able to afford the buy-in because he still had the cash from his award. He wanted to play in our game because he had a big Hemingway fantasy and he thought it would be a manly thing to do. But he really didn't have a clue.)

Also the son of Canada's most famous poet of the 50s-60s (himself a published novelist)--and he kept a list of hand rankings next to him because he could never remember what beat what. He lasted a year but it was quite a tell when he started scanning his list!

I played 2/5 NL with Montel Williams a few times at Borgata.

Also LL Cool J about 10 years ago at Hard Rock Hollywood in FL. I think it was a tourney.

I wouldn't believe you if you weren't from Canada.

Played with Jose Canseco last fall in a small tourney at Caesar’s. I didn’t recognize him first-off but I knew he must be Somebody, the guy’s enormous; dealer said he used to be twice as big, which doesn’t seem possible.

He was pleasant enough, but I noticed he blinked non-stop, as others have pointed out. When an attractive woman moved to our table, he got chatty, and when she was busted out by another guy, he asked her, “Do you want me to knock him out for you?” which sounds scary from a guy his size.

He re-bought twice, but finally got knocked out for good on the same hand I did.

Silver lining is, I started reading his twitter feed, which can be downright amazing.

My friend who worked on Malcom in the middle set up a little mock tournament to help Bryan Cranston learn poker so he wouldn't look like an idiot on E Hollywood hold em hosted by the great Phil Gordon. He knew hand rankings and not much more. So we taught him how to act like a player and the lingo and how to bet and raise etc etc. it might have been his first time ever playing I think. Anyhow I think he came in second place, shows u the quality of celeb players.

And yes he is hands down one of the nicest people I ever met, I randomly bumped into him at a party years later and he walked right up to me and started talking. He remembered my name and asked about my job that I just started years ago when I taught him. The crew on Malcom called him Sunshine because he is that guy.

His AMA on reddit is one of the greatest things I've ever read. I think he's legit insane.

I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan, but I loved his bit as the dentist on Seinfeld where he took a hit off the nitrous tank before putting the mask on Jerry...

I was playing single table sit n go's at Mirage about 10 years ago. Sat right next to actor Brad Garrett. I tried a little too hard to chat him up and he was unbelievably friendly. I ordered a Sugar Free Rock Star energy drink and he said "that would be a great title of a sitcom, we should write that !". I shoved with AA and he rivered broadway with J-10 suited and busted me. I went to his show that night with Ray Romano and they killed. Solid player, great person.

I played with the blond guy from dazed and confused, in the movie he told the story about a dream he had where he smashes some girl that has the head of Abraham Lincoln.

I also spotted the villain from highlander 3(the futuristic one that explains where their power comes from) he was also the villain in the Hillary swank karate kid.

What's 5k to a guy who will almost certainly be a billionaire by the time he's done with basketball? I doubt he thinks in terms of bbs lost.

Anthony Rapp. He was also in the news recently as the subject of the Kevin Spacey incident.

He was fun to play with as you can imagine.
