I have two, ironically I was on the immediate left of both players!

1) Shannon Elizabeth - I believe it was the Victorian Championships in 2007 Main Event. She was very friendly except when we played a hand together. I don't remember the exact details but I remember I beat her in a hand we played and she furiously wrote down notes about the hand in a book that she was carrying. I was pleased about this until I realised that it probably ended any chance of a future romance blossoming... that and the fact that my wife was on the rail.

2) Rhys Muldoon - Australian actor. Probably obscure to most of you but I used to love this tv satire about local government called 'Grass Roots' that he starred in and he was my favourite character, so I was completely loving life. Really funny guy, chatty and pleasant.

Played with Jose Canseco once in a small Caesar's tourney for 7 or 8 hours a few years ago, posted this in a thread about Jose but figured it has enough highlights to post here too.

-First few hours he was a really nice guy, fun to have at the table. He had re-entered pretty late with about 20 BB and then more than tripled up in the first few hands with some big coolers. Proceeded to say after tripling up "you know exactly what I am going to do, if I have it I am betting big and if I don't I'm folding." Table laughed and he proceeded to play exactly that way the whole tournament and just ran incredibly well until the final table to get there with a big stack.

-Jose complained after a hand "I have gotten Q3 twice in a row, if I get it again I'm gonna show it because this is ridiculous." Next hand he is BB, gets dealt Q3 and spikes it on the table to show everyone right away before the dealer finishes dealing the hand. Everyone laughs, he gets no penalty.

-There was a dinner break and when we returned, he was acting very differently. He was twitching, sniffing, blinking a lot, playing more erratically etc. I won't speculate as to what he may have happened on the dinner break to cause that, but it wasn't performance-enhancing for his poker game.

-Jose had knocked out what I would call a "know-it-all tourney reg" who seemed to know everyone at Caesar's. He comes back drunk and sees Jose at the final table, starts talking some crap loudly about how bad a player Jose is and how could he make it that far etc. I laugh at it, assuming "hey this is Jose Canseco, if anyone is accustomed to dealing with random idiots talking trash about him all the time wouldn't it be this guy?" Instead, Jose's reaction is to be pissed off about it and say how he's going to kick the guy's ass.

-We got down to 5 players, Jose was pushing to make a deal (along with everyone else except me). Me and him were the shortest stacks, but no one seemed comfortable playing short-handed and there was an older guy who clearly wanted to get out of there so I refused. Older guy busts, and they all want a deal again. Me and Jose are short stacked. Jose clearly wanted to get out of there fast with some cash so despite having more chips than me 4-handed he offered to take $3000 and I would take $3500. I took that deal.

-Drunk heckler returns to talk more trash to Jose as tourney payouts are getting figured out, and security takes him away before there's any altercation (there probably would have been one).

Played quite a few times with Dexter Fletcher, nice guy. The first few times I saw him he must have thought I was a stalker, it was at the Old Fox Club and for about 4 weeks in a row, our schedules linked up so perfectly that he was at the stop of the stairs coming out when I was walking up the stairs coming in.

As there are some London people in the thread, really surprise there has been no mention of Sir Clive Sinclair. Played loads of time with him and still unsure why he played, he never ever said a word and was absolutely hopeless, which for a genius is quite surprising!

I played Fuji Hakayito the stunt coordinator from The Super Dave Show at Casino Rama in Ontario. He was decked out in Super Dave Hat, Jacket and Watch. Apparently he's a reg there. Don't know if he still is though, I haven't been there in years.

I've played with him several times at Aria and have seen him around the WSOP STS area. Nice guy, can be chatty if the table is agreeable. Nobody ever asked him about the show but someone did ask him if he was still acting. He said he was just doing poker and sports betting. I didn't see him around last Summer, hopefully he's still got some Sopranos money left.

Jack Haley (great guy)
Will Smith (kind of an arrogant jerk)

In 2005 I played poker with 4x-NBA champion Horace Grant. He brought his 2001 championship ring and was letting people touch it. I was sitting right next to him and he was really cool giving 19year old me advice like "trust my instincts" etc. I got it all-in on a 9 high flop against him with KK, he had 99. Binked a K on the turn for a 700 dollar pot.

Played with Lou Diamond Phillips at the Commerce. He's a nice friendly person.

Played in a tourney at the Hustler with Bruce Buffer. Nice guy.

Played in the nightly hundred grand on pokerstars back in the day and had Orel Hershiser at my table. I said "Hello Mr Hershiser" and he replied "hello". I told him I worked at dodger stadium running up and down the aisles as a vendor when I was a teenager. He typed back "cool".

Play with 'Hector' from Fast and Furious at the Commerce regularly.

Played live cash game with former NHL player Gino Ojdick at the Wynn. He played 600 games in the NHL and had 2600 penalty minutes. He was Pavel Bure's enforcer for the Canucks back in the 90's. I asked him who was the hardest puncher in the NHL and he said "I was." Some of us other players sat at the table watching these Youtube fight videos while we all played. He said sometimes his right hand would get so battered that he had to switch to his left. He also said it was really hard to hold the other guy up (while pounding him) to keep the fight going cuz after the first few seconds they wanna lay down to end the fight. He liked to shed his jersey too cuz they always grab it to prevent punching. Awesome guy.

Played 5/10NL at the Wynn (now the Encore) with Laura Prepon (That 70s Show).

She was very attractive but did not say but two or three words during the entire session. She would talk to some guy who kept checking up on her on the rail. I remember maybe she won a few hundred, very tight player.

Lon McCarren at Binions, cash game, very nice and friendly.

Tony Dunst qualifies as an obscure celebrity because of the WPT. This year I built up a nice stack at a WSOP 1k, got moved to his table, played bad, and lost of my chips to him. He went on to win the bracelet.

Played with Nelly in Harrahs (currently Hollywood) St. Louis a on a few occasions. He would show up later at night and they would open a higher limit table (something like 5/10 10/20). He is very quiet, nice, friendly and respectable player.

Malik Rose, 2x NBA Champion w/ the Spurs, ex color commentator for the 76ers. Had no idea who he was until someone pointed it out to me. It kind of felt like backwards world - a well dressed NBA star w/ a watch more expensive than my car was playing TAG in a 2/5 game. Seemed like a nice guy though.
