I don't play a lot of live poker, but I played with Roberto Luongo, Florida Panthers goalie, in a tournament awhile back. He played a solid tag game for the few hours I played with him, and was friendly and gracious with everyone.

I played with Edison Chen in a cash game. He was distracted and inattentive, chatting with his pals and fending off fans (this was River Rock, with a big Asian clientele.) Then the crowd got big, with floormen and security guys talking in their radios and squads of chattering girls milling around, and he left. Being as I am a 50's white guy I had no idea who he is, but they said he's a massive Cantpop star.

How about you?

Played one session of 20-40 limit at the Taj with "Syracuse" Chris Tsiprailidis back in the day. I remember folding to a bet he made while holding a pair of 4's. Didn't say much as I recall.

Played 2/5nl with David Copperfield in Vegas a few years ago. He lost 2k and made some joke about making his stack disappear.

Some dude Porn star that called himself "Memphis" . He would ultra slow roll older nits and tip the dealer the whole pot ( playing 100-200 LHE) when he beat certain people.

Playing 2/5 @Borgata when it use to be downstairs with Edgerrin James this has to be around 2003/2004 he has long tread back than.

I didn't recognize him as first but other players know who he is. We were pretty cool about it too no one bother him or ask for pic or autograph. This is a night of a big boxing fight, MJ, Chuck, and Patrick Ewing was upstair playing BJ and De La Hoya was there with tons of celebrities and famous peoples. We didn't try to target him or anything seem like a OK dude would engage in conversation and chit chat as long as it is not sport or football related.

I've played w Russell Westbrook @ Riverwind in Norman, OK. He is an avid player and plays all around the country I have heard. He acted exactly how you would expect him to act lol one time I was at a club in OKC and he walked in a someone there was taking a snapchat of his and he took their phone and deleted it lmfao Russ is a goon, gotta love him. I would think as poker players we should pride ourselves and not acting ignorant towards famous ppl @ the tables.

Played 2/5 with him at MGM this year just before the series started. Not a UFC fan at all and after he left I found out who he was, all my mates back home were creaming themselves. Suuuuper nice guy but dusted it off to me in spectacular fashion and then left.

Great thread!

One of the original members of the 4 Seasons plays at Green Valley Ranch regularly. I believe his name is Tommy DeVeto.

Orel is one of the nicest guys you'll ever play with. Engaging and solid. Played at the V a few yrs ago during WSOP. His wife is no slouch either, and she had a few bricks for him to step up to the 5-10 table with.

Back around 2005 at Seminole Hard Rock (Hollywood) when they could only deal 1/1 and 1/2 Limit cash games, they had the biggest live SNG action I've ever seen. Based on FL law at the time, SNG and MTT was the only way they could deal NLH. 10-20 tables per night all night kicking off SNG after SNG. Stakes from $60 to $1000. some of my fondest memories playing poker was being down in FL working and taking break to go play against the SNG Mafia regs at the Hard Rock.

4 of us waiting to fill the rest of a $500...

Matt Damon shows up, takes a seat and obvious table immediately fills up.

He knew how to play. Played snug early in the SNG then opened it up after 3-4 people busted (as you should). he busted to some cooler. set over set or something in that neighborhood.

He fit right in. Humble, not pretentious at all. acted and felt like he was just one of the boys.

If you didn't know him and if not for the two security guys following him around you would think he was just another dude playing poker drinking beer.

I stumbled on this guys book 10 years ago... and it ended with him in jail around 1990 with him saying he was going to stick with religion etc and get his life back on track. I googled the guy and was like holy chit he did stick to it and won the lotto. Jesus is good.

Played 1 table away from Bruce Buffer one year at the WSOP and in between hands he was cool enough to come over and talk MMA. Even gave me a "hockey card" of himself. Very nice humble guy. Good for poker and MMA.

Played on Isai Scheinbergs table at the Isle of Man UKIPT. Had no idea until a while after when saw his picture. He wasn't the best player.

Judge Mills Lane, at the MGM, the night he referreed the Tyson - Peter McNeeley fight there. (He picked up his chips and said it was time to go to work. Th fight lasted 89 seconds. Including the introductions in the ring, Mills probably could have left his chips and not missed a blind.)

Vince Vaughn, late one night when the airport in Costa Rica was fogged in and he found his way to a backroom 1-2 NL game at the Fiesta Casino. I already was sitting in the game and heard someone ask if the seat to my left was open. I turned and looked up, he is really tall. He sat in and no one bugged him. Most of the players knew each other from the gaming/betting industry and the game was very social. One guy, sitting across the table did not recognize Vaughn for about 40 minutes, then finally said, "Jeez sorry, I did not recognize you". Vaughn immediately stood up, stretched his arm across the table to shake the guy's hand, saying, "Hi, I'm Johnny Knoxville."

Phillip Seymour Hoffman, at the Bellagio.

Jimmy Johnson, the iron-coiffed Dallas coach, not the driver, at the Mirage. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/07/08/nfl-hi...son-hair-spray

Lance Briggs (NFL Player) used to grind 3/6 LHE at the Hammond Horseshoe.

A few other regs at that casino that are 'celebrities' include Pete Myers (Bulls assistant coach) and Ron Magers (recently retired news anchor).
