This is a lyric from an old Radiohead song, and also the most likely inspiration for Taylor Caby's Full Tilt Poker handle: Green Plastic
The source of this lyric comes from the second line - "For a Fake Chinese Rubber Plant". I can only surmise that this is a direct reference to Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin's front-man.
The green plastic could refer to Jimmy Page's Guitar, or any number of convenient metaphor. I believe it refers to a microphone, the tool most used by Mr. Plant, and also the lyricist of the song.
The Fake Plastic Earth is literal. In
The Bends, Thom recites that he wishes it was the 60's. I think he chose this time because Led Zeppelin was not yet in their final form, both LZ and Radiohead being from England, it's only fair to say he wishes he could've been their contemporary.
