Cardrunners Official Sponsor of 2008 WSOP satellite room - Page 2 - Poker News

How many people do you think are actually going to sign up for CR after seeing them sponsor the WSOP? Probably a decent amount. Now, how many of those people will actually watch all the videos, take the time to learn the content, etc etc. It's just like saying "that book on card counting will kill blackjack" or "2p2 is going to kill poker."

Uhmm, pretty sure if you bother to fork out the price of the sign up and monthly you might find time to watch the videos. You don't have to take much of the videos in to improve your game anyway. So % of people who sign up AND watch the videos? 85%+

while cardrunners is a very good learning tool for your game them getting a sponsorship deal with the wsop is not going to all of a sudden turn waves of ******edly bad live players into superstars. What it almost surely will do however, is bring more players into the online arena at least in the near future.

I also look forward to any live players who sign up for cardrunners, watch one CTS vid and then come into the games lagtarding it up and donating. The most likely effect it will have longterm if any is greater traffic, and a few more tagfish here or there. Sounds good to me.

For what it's worth I walked past the Cardrunners booth about 7 times yesterday and I didn't see a single customer or prospective customer talking to them the whole time. Just a couple kids who looked about 16 with Cardrunners shirts sitting there looking bored.
