Why not sue the DOJ?

They have the money

They have admitted they have the money

They have admitted it is not theres

They are not going anywhere

If you want to take out a class action suit then there must loads of law firms that would take that on contingency

I do not think the DOJ has enough money to cover it all, I do not know if it is an option at all.

I won $26k in the bad beat jackpot on Absolute (I won the hand with the higher straight flush) and I never got a chance to cash it out before all this **** happened.... But I can laugh about it now.

i think there is some recourse. the gov't did this to us. the gov't get its cash a "certain way". i dont really feel like participating in that anymore...

If we keep our mouth shut its obvious no one cares about. We need to do smth in group that shows that we are not ok about stealing our money. I think that we should use facebook to show our indignation. Anyone agrees?

I agree that our money was stolen. The problem is; we have no sympathy

Like what if a bunch of drug dealers got a facebook page together complaining how the government confiscated their homes and cars; etc

Obviously as poker players we aren't breaking the law like drug dealers; but 90% of Americans won't see a difference.

That's true but in my opinion it doesnt mean that we should stay quiet. We have nothing more to loose so... i will search what fb pages i will post and i suggest that everyone that reads this thread will like or comment showing our indignation. I will post the links in the next post.

The gov't didn't do this to you. The crook owners of UB/AP did. Even if Black Friday never happens, the same scenario ends up playing out, except maybe more people lose money.

i dont disagree that the owners/superusers should be held to blame, but if the gov't hadnt done this i would still be playing absolute to this day.

keep in mind: my entire life would be much better (financially) had there been no black friday also. not a contented citizen here...
