Can we discuss Cereus specifically? - Page 224 - Poker News

Reztes, how much would you like to bet that Cereus did not have enough liquidity to pay back all players their full balances on April 14th? Obviously I dont have access to their financial records, but I think this assumption is a fairly safe one at this point

I am not trying to claim they had full balances Pre BF. I am only claiming that we do not have any idea how much money they had Pre BF, it is all speculation. Why did Cereus leave the US market knowing it would completely kill the site if the DoJ did not seize a very large amount of money?

wonder how many dumps to props out of the country took place and how much of those funds were able to be withdrawn from the site resulting in a puny 10 to 20 percent payout of our funds... i mean top 10 percent elite probably had top 90 percent of the money online and as i had low barely 5 figures locked up im sure there was others with pretty large balances.

Yarbles, I don't think a few out of country props getting paid is going to make much of a difference, to be honest.

I would kill for 20% at this point.

Even 20% is dreaming at this point IMO Max 10% and the longer we go without any update the less likely it is were gonna get ****

Personally I'd rather get paid than have them in prison. Ideally we get paid in full and they go jail but like thats ever going to happen. The worst part is that we probably will end up getting like 10 percent and scott tom walks with his fat offshore accounts intact. God I hate those mother****ers.

Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke said this was a new UB/Ap too and very trustworthy people are working there.

I am sure they will all donate their salaries if nobody gets paid 100 c on the dollar

It's probably worth mentioning that it's been reported in the Norwegian press today that Norwegian tax authorities have concluded an audit of Madeira Fjord and found that the company has been evading taxes. They are claiming NOK 180 million (USD 30 million) from the bankruptcy estate of Madeira Fjord. Madeira Fjord was the company set up to launder payments to the former owners of AP after the company was sold.

as much as it will suck to accept getting 15 cents or so on the dollar for my 3k it would suck even more to not get anything for it. ive pretty much counted it as gone already so anything is like found money.

not sure if this is the right attitude to have but not much i can do so....

The title of this thread seems a bit misleading. from the article:

"Two reliable sources close to Absolute Poker and UB have indicated that players owed money from the two CEREUS Network sites could be repaid 15 to 20 cents on the dollar. This amount would be paid out over time, although the specifics of how and when refunds would be processed are not yet known."
