I have talked with some of the old euro UB/AP regulars. There is an idea of us players trying to "advertise" the presence of hard working grinders with money stuck to attract buyers. What are your thoughts about that, is it worth our time ? And if the answer is yes, how do we act? If the idea is good enough guigui would be on our boat as well.


After black Friday I am sure many small to medium sized poker sites are having big hopes taking some players from the UB and FT playerpool. I have somewhat OK connections to some smaller sites and I am sure some thats true for some of you guys as well.

Really interesting idea. Would def be supported by players who have got a lot stuck. But how would you proceed? I mean, how can you persuade a potential buyer that after the takeover players won't just insta cashout and disappear w/ their money? Sign a contract w/ restrictions regarding cashouts(the amount you rake the amount you can cash out perhaps??)? I'm def in it, have almost 50k stuck there right now, so lets make it happen!

Well UB won't just give the software and player pool away. Although if there's no light at the end of the tunnel I'm sure they will look into the best exit strategy which could include a non-US player base xfer (and ideally for them a software+other assets package deal included to make real $). Doubt there's a serious buyer for all of those things combined tho.

As for the advertising it's not a terrible idea. Ideally the best way would be to actually play but we know that's not gonna happen . UB sitout fests, forum post/website etc.. could be fun to try

may be we can arrange a time where we all login in and play some for 30min-60min or something, may be even everyday at the same time. this way we could push the 24hour/peak at pokerscout. may be somebody writes an article/news about that?! and the site could start its busines again.

bozalan, may be you can discuss with the regs and chose a time, where europeans, canadians and may be even the guys from usa are available for playing (not sleeping)?

Before I do anything first of all I might need some more responses and second of all I need a meeting with the Cereus upper managment and then we decide which way to go.

Unfortunately I don´t get any responses for the emails I have sent. Anyone else got their mails answered within the last couple of weeks? Or can anyone arrange a meeting? If we can unite as one than its more likely they are going to listen to our offer.

Currently I think that the only real chance for us to see our money is to either get it transferred to another site or that we start building Ub again and getting it back through rake. Since there are many people with a lot of money the second option does not sound too bad but I need Cereus to make some arrangments cause I am certainly not playing if I am not getting something in exchange.

1st you have to organize the players with a serious plan then try to offer that to ub. going to ub now with nothing but a ideal isnt going to get a response

True but kinda sucks making a plan and organizing the players when you actually can´t reach them.

Also like I have mentioned earlier, we got 2 plans(1,trying to sell the EU player pool to another site or 2, play and get our money back making UB possible to survive). And I think both plans go to a totally different direction so therefor we need to decide on our general gameplan.

I guess I could start organizing and writing some mails to some other sites asking if they have any interrest in buying the player pool. For anything else I would definatly need more input from you guys. If I want to represent the european UB community I would need more people.

BTW received both UB and AP cashouts this time a lot faster than my last payouts.

I have for the past two months or so been having regular conversations with a contact I have in UB, about implementing a new cash out policy that would increase the action on UB drastically. Something along the lines of larger cash outs for larger rake players like or even a system done by VIP levels: 2500 for Icons per month, 1500 legends, 1000 contenders etc etc. Unfortunately to no avail have I been able to get anywhere with them but it is something I bring up on a regular basis to them.

Don't think it was being meant by them as "lets get people to deposit and get UB to pay us their money" But more a discussion to get UB on the right track as a poker site. Anyways before it turns into an ethical debate and about UB's shadiness. I am just trying to say I don't think their discussion was meant to come off as a ploy to steal unsuspecting civilians monies.

For years "respected 2+2ers" have touted full tilt as a legit site- and clearly more reputable than Cereus. But bottom line is as of right now players have lost many times more money to Full Tilt's mismanagement, superusers or not. Maybe it's better to be able to freely express thoughts and opinions and let people decide for themselves. I'm pretty sure that is what ought to be allowed.

How many players do you guys think we would need to get organized before we would be able to approach UB with a proposal and be taken seriously?

what is the proposal exactly? I have read the past page or two and I don't quite get it

So your saying if more people start playing then pokerscout will start counting UB again?

This must be less than 0,5% to happen but if it's possible, count me in.

I've been playing a bit, but have got no cashouts from either UB or AP in three months, so i've all but given up in the last week or two.

If money started flowing out again i'd happily play more.

im obvi in on this plan jsut let me know. and have been grinding anyhow; clicking some buttons here or there when im on the phone or waiting for a call or whatever... got 2 cashouts now since july 15th (non-us)
