It's strange that the old one never caught on. It was the most well kept room in Vegas.

Some of the dealers were also complaining about the noise but the place is like a library compared to Showboat in AC so it's not that big a deal IMO.

The smoke is an issue for anyone on the outside tables. The smokers are happy they only have a short walk so many were leaving cigarettes lit and bounce back and forth between hands.

I love the fact that it is wide open. I don't want to see it closed off but would like to see some better ventilation/air handling to deal with the smoke.

Other than that I love the new room.

tl; dr
New room is awesome. Floormen are incompetent.

Finally had a chance to checkout my favorite Vegas poker room and I am not disappointed. Sure, its a bit on the noisy side but to me its not a major issue since it creates a more hip environment. After all this is Vegas and tourists dont typically want to play in a secluded room. If the noise keeps the old nits away (no offense) then fine by me.

I rarely call the clock but the occasion arose last Friday night (july 4th) when a player took forever to make a call on the river. The pot was small, friday night, player had plenty of time so i called the lock. Floorman comes over and ask the dealer if player had ample time to which the dealer says yes. The floorman says, well this isnt a tourney so I will come back. I was totally tilted by this, da fuq...lol. i have never seen a floorman after asking the dealer if the player had ample time, and saying yes, basically ignoring the dealer and walking away. I talked to bill, presumably someone important and he said players who are not in the hand are not allowed to call the clock...wtf...anyways Bill is a complete jerk off or at least comes across that way.

ETA: the floorman in question is Mitch.

Calling clock in a cash game is a bit odd.

Does anyone know if the lady who puts players into games or puts them on the list from few years ago is still there? I use to play there a bit and thus her and lot of the dealers there recognized me b/c i was there quite a bit.

Not sure if its allowed to mention their name on the forum but she is Asian.

And the dealer who likes to make jokes such as Hawaii 5 0 etc.

Are all of them still there?

Not really....and it's in the casinos best interest to keep that game moving. Kind of dumb not to allow any player at the table to call a clock. Why bother asking the dealer if the player had adequate time if they aren't going to do anything about it? Poor management in my opinion.

One bad decision by one floor doesn't equal bad management. Although I do agree that this was a bad decision if it happened the way it was posted.

No it isn't. If a dude tanks for a $20 pot anything over 5 minutes is getting a clock calll

I agree with you. I think historically there have been other poor management issues which is why the room has struggled. I think it can thrive in it's new location with some adjustments.

an example of poor management at the Caesars room would be the AA, KK, QQ, JJ promo that they offered in January. It was a complete sh*t-show. They didn't have enough dealers, so they said....but the held some back for a tournament that didn't have a guarantee even though they had 20+ names on the list for a 3/6 limit game. They also had so many suits standing around. I work in poker and in most rooms they would just have one of those suits start a game until a dealer could be called in. I also used to work at a different CET property and we would often get sent to other properties to help out if another was busy but we were slow. January is a dead zone for poker. I'm sure there were dealers at every other CET properties twiddling their thumbs.

Why offer a promo if you aren't going to let people play? All it does is piss people off and make them speak negatively about you room. What good does that do?

At least with the new room, they won't have a bunch of suits standing around. You're right though. That was a complete clusterfk.

Saturday night the room ran out of red chips, a suit (tommy) was dealing and was horrible, cocktail service was extremely slow, etc.

But I know it is unusually busy right now. Again, overall Caesars poker room is still my favorite overall.

Caesars poker will continue to struggle because they don't know how to run a poker room.

New management. They got rid of the jackpot drop and are doing other things to improve the room.

they are doing a 10 hour a week promo for a wsop seat drawing on sundays... there is also cash prizes on that same day.

play a minimum of ten hours a week and qualify for the drawings.

frankly, the room has been very busy lately.

Yes, serisouly, I've been semi-uncomfortable since shufflemasters inception. I dont have a problem with a machine shuffling, my problem lies with it being done out of my view. For obv reasons, regardless the little green and red lights.

Im sorry if this is odd to you, but this is how I feel.

The "rigged JokerStars" RNG with photons firing and parellel universes is the real enemy!

Hi JohnSmith$, would appreciate any feedback you have to improve the quality of the room.
