Also the funniest part for me was envisioning you arguing with your mom (parents?) about whether or not to quit the McDonalds job.

Some more random questions.

Are you an only child?

Are you still close to your mom (parents), i think the doc could have been more interesting if they would have shared that perspective.

IMO having all that cash and still living like some average joe shows some serious maturity. If disaster ever strikes or poker dries up all the ballers are going to be pawning their flatscreens and Zeebo is gonna go right on living a happy life.

It would have been a lot better if he died at the end after proposing to his gf and quitting poker, but other than that it was awesome.

(just joking, no disrespect to Zeebo. I use to check your blog daily, definitely one of the more interesting people in poker.)

I got two siblings. I'm fairly close to my parents. We probably see eachother once every 6-8 weeks on average and talk on the phone every other week.

Yeah man, that would have been ****ing hilarious!!! It would have been such a better documentary if you lost your life in the end, hell yeah!

Honestly, even if you claim that you are joking, why would you ever post that? Who jokes about another person dying anyway? You sound like such an ignorant tool man. You should really think things through before you type.

Just shut up. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, and placing any blame on her for his condition is just disgusting imo. Pushing him to do things he's not comfortable with could've triggered further problems, and if he's in a delusional paranoid state, it could've lead to negative thoughts about her - that she's trying to kill him or something. Despite the stress and turmoil she no doubt felt herself, she did the right thing imo, she encouraged him to seek medical help whilst being a supportive/understanding gf. That's all anyone can or should do, you can't push someone out of a mental illness.

The doc was awesome, very honest and very real. I have no problem with the issues of zeebo's bipolar being shown. I don't think it's depressing, rather it's a poignant tale of a poker player who overcame personal demons. It humanises poker players imo, which is a good thing. I'd rather watch this than the bucket list documentary that Canadian guy was trying to make.

Zeebo, gl to you and Erin.

Not hard to imagine them still together at 80, with the girlfriend still knitting him silly hats.

Also: Erin thinks *he's* a real nerd? Check out her craft projects, dude. She's the queen of nerdesses. You're perfectly suited.

A+

krantz: not sure what you're looking for with the next story but i think it would be cool to document someone almost the opposite of zeebo. just by watching the video it was pretty surreal seeing someone who is so different from i am yet we share the same hobby, profession, and tendencies. gotta say though it will be hard to top that first episode with such a profound story but i think if you find the right character/story it could work out great. also curious as to what your goal was by making the video. just for our internet viewing pleasure or do you hope it becomes larger and possibly profit off of it?

Start it, then immediately pause it, go do something else, and come back and play it when it has buffered up.

If it still lags and skips, your computer lacks the processing power to decode the video stream fast enough without skipping frames. Downloading it would probably not help.

The raw honesty is what made it good. Not only the non-poker parts, but at least as much with regard to the bipolar disorder, the psychosis, the 22-year old virgin part, the general uber-nerdiness.

Kudos to Zeebo for having the courage to be so open about all those topics.

Excellent movie, recommending it to my (mostly non poker playing, but nerdy) colleagues at a small software engineering company.

Well done!

Zeebo, you're one lucky bastard to have such a nice girlfriend. For her sake, I hope you're as nerdily obsessive about gratifying her in the sack now, that you seemingly are in all other ventures. Huge congrats on the upcoming wedding.

Too soon?

I was commenting as if it were a movie, in jest. But way to take a stand there buddy. I bet you got a pm from Zeebo right away, telling you how awesome you are and that he wants to stake you and be best friends.

I really liked it a lot, although it was a little depressing. On the other hand, I think it's good that we also see this side of poker, since Zeebo probably isn't the only person having these problems.

As a part of a bigger documentary it's really good, because it won't keep you depressed during the documentary lol

besides that! I hope you'll get all the luck you need in your life and props to your girlfriend for staying on your side.
