That was essentially Zamani's reasoning: 'I know this guy is a f'n clown, but I need his money to keep playing.'

I guess I really shouldn't be surprised at this point, yet I still find myself surprised how many "pros" with millions in winnings are actually broke/in debt. Makes you wonder how many people are actually beating tournament poker for a sustainable long-term living wage. Not a very appealing "career" when there's seemingly a small fraction of winners and a huge population of long-term losers who end up broke and desperate.

?? Pokerstars and Full Tilt are far bigger villians. Still, this is more entertaining.

Whether or not this guys story is real or not, the truth will be revealed quickly. These kind of stories always seem to attract the worlds biggest investigation teams.

Oh for sure. Every one of Bryn's "horses" are complicit in everything that happened under Bryn's leadership. I was just shocked how this story gave me the sense this was a cult overseen by a psychopath as opposed to just your run of the mill group of greedy poker players scheming for an unfair edge like we've seen so many times before in this industry.

I guess the psychic was right that Zamani was trouble (for Brynn).

A recreational player would be out of their minds not to be scared of game integrity at high stakes especially online.
It's bad enough they get zero gamble for their money, but instead of losing honestly when they're already drawing dead they run into a bunch of unethical savages happy to cheat them out of it.

Nah I was meaning to create an account anyways, long time lurking.

But to add a little more to my point. I listened to the podcast myself in full last night and basically it was only good stuff about Bryn. You'd have to be a real psycho to spin it as "he's bad."

"Bryn staked me when I had no money and didn't wanna get a job or anything like a normal human. Also there was coaching involved so he helped my game. What a scumbag amirite?"

"Oh and also he got involved in my life too, like a real human being, not just like a robot who sent me the stake and collected the profit without ever saying a word. He wanted me to interact with humans and talk to them, what a complete weirdo, amirite? I have nothing to talk about to some random chick and shouldnt be OBLIGATED TO IN ANY WAY, I'm a baller that only plays multiple 10ks"

Like how out of touch do you got to be?

Jesus, you ain't the sharpest tool, are you? The thing that's looked down upon is obviously that the guy is stoned out of his balls when addressing a very serious issue for the first time on a podcast. No one mentioned anything about being against blazing it up in general, people are just against blazing it up when the timing is clearly ridiculous.

I went to Parx maybe like 9 years ago just to check it out and play 1 of their big stax tournaments. I remember seeing 2 people sitting off to the side at an empty table with 2 laptops open talking. They were there at that same table by themselves most of the day. I finally was curious who they were and asked someone and was immediately told that's Mark Herm, Chirp or something people call him and Paul Volpe. And immediately after that was that they both are cheaters and collude together.

And that was nearly 10 years ago. So nothing surprises me hearing Mark Herm is involved in this with Volpe.

I'm surprised more people haven't been talking about GG allegedly sharing their customer's personal conversations with non-employees. This is incredibly scary for any player, recreational or pro, that plays online poker.

What are the chances that in most competitive form of poker, where you fight for the thinnest of edges and where having solutions at hand is easiest top players won't cheat?

I hope it's really that clean, but I'm not so sure about it. There is a lot of low-mid stakes regs that with external help can compete in highest games.
