On 2+2, people exchange reads with other players all the time. Anyone who has ever gotten coaching while playing at mid stakes and above has gotten reads from their coaches. Their opponents are essentially playing someone different than they think they are playing.

With all the scummy things going on in poker right now... this doesn't seem like the huge deal that you guys are making it out to be.
You can buy 5mil hands of zoom and import them and analyze every player with notecaddy. That's what it was made for. It's all cool.

Hasting received a few thousand hands from his friends at CR and hes a massive cheater.

Is it even debatable that Ike having knowledge of this information, while being sponsored by PS, and NOT reporting it, is at the very least unethical?

There is obviously a huge tangible benefit to Ike knowing in the actual games. Which for me, makes it scummy on Ike's part. Hard to call him an outright cheater. Unethical without question and scummy imo.

But again, anything for an edge these days.

"PokerStars only allows players to use one account on same license."

What, exactly, they mean by "license"? Like France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, etc?

This answer by PS doesn't sound too good.

I've been waiting for some sort of communication from Stars that wasn't a form email for some time now

All I know is that Brian told Isaac at the start of the SCOOP, and that weeks later, the account was still going. I don't know anything more about Jason Mercier than what has been posted ITT about the chat at the Razz FT.

Something is wrong in the above scenario. Either management was told and couldn't/wouldn't do anything, or they weren't told. Either way, game integrity is being seriously violated and someone employed by the site is turning a blind eye

Stars has sent me a few form emails in response to my queries since May, and they have reassured me that their privacy policy will trump any personal or community need for transparency and closure.

Everyone who has been playing by the rules for the past X years, enjoy your slap in the face

I haven't gotten any PMs since this started really.

I don't know anything more than I've posted ITT

If people want to PM me more allegations of cheating/impropriety, and you have proof to back it up, I promise to take a look at it

I dont know how 'deep this runs' or anything. I just know so many people , so many of them close friends, that play this game 100% straight, who are being taken advantage of such behavior, that I feel that this should not be let go

Stars cust service has gone to pot since amaya, obv cutting costs and not giving a **** about things like this is going to get worse as time goes by.

Hope you get a satisfactory resolution to this bro.

They definitely need to release some kind of statement even if not the results of the findings, something that shows their onto it and getting something done about it.

You're playing this smart. All hell is about to break loose.

THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT IKE AND OTHER STARS PROS KNEW AND WHEN THEY KNEW IT. WHAT THEY TOLD THEIR BOSSES AND WHEN THEY TOLD THEM.

this is 10x bigger than hastings bush league scams.

IKE AND OTHERS WERE REQUIRED BY THEIR CONTRACT TO TELL THEIR BOSSES. PERIOD.

Is it any less ethical to take counter-measures to evade that?

Here's a protip: Crying about angle shooting in online poker is like crying because the drug dealer shorted you a half gram. Sure, in a theoretically perfect world we'd be entitled to impeccable integrity in our drug deals and online poker but in the real world, human nature being what it is, there are certain realms where that cannot be expected. Online poker is one.

The astonishing naivete demonstrated by a certain type of poker player has never ceased to amaze me. I guess that's what happens when Autistics and 'game theorists' enter a world that is made up of much baser instincts.
Here's a protip for you: Honest people aren't naive because they want the game to be honest. They just want the game to be honest, unlike scumbags like yourself that think that if everyone cheats then that is what everyone should do.

Some people just can't cheat.

And your drug dealing story is bollocks.

I'm still struggling with this 'business deal' bakes was offered by stinger through a mutual friend at the start of a scoop FT.

Is this Hastings letting bakes know who he is playing against (cant see much benefit there for hastings, and no real improvement for bakes either) or is this hasting's letting bakes know for another reason, hey you know me, we know each other, lets make some 'business agreement' where we are both financially rewarded. This can only be sharing hole cards. Luckily bakes is a stand up guy.

But as pro's have mentioned in this thread that they 'are in poker' therefore have many many more contacts/friends. Is it foolish for me to presume that this is also going on on a daily basis.

I wonder how many pros would play a high stakes cash game with other world class players where everybody was sitting in their own box and you couldnt see who you were actually playing against? I bet you not many......... The dynamic of the game would completely change. What makes some people ITT think that its ok to do this online? Totally unprofessional, this is cheating straight up.
