So Hastings engages in illicit behavior that not only gives him an unfair edge against his opponents but also puts the whole site at risk because they're supposed to be preventing people in the US from playing. He does this all, by his own admission, for selfish reasons, to make money and because living in canada made him depressed. Rather than move back to the US and not play online poker he does what's best for himself without regard to the consequences for others yet somehow he tries to turn things around and make it seem like the ones calling him out on it are the ones putting the site at risk, not his own selfish actions.

Is there a verb form of narcissist?

Regarding the verb? Dunno if it's correct term but kind of when grimstarrr became famous for grimming maybe ringerstinger, when u play a MA in a ring game and get stung for a few BIs but it's ok because he told you previous it was whoever on the new account so it's not cheating?

Friends at the local warehouse get ring sting in summer at work, it when ur sweaty arse get raw from walking around in the heat and sweat cause it to go sore. Kind of fitting cos stinger is a big sweaty arse hole.

At the rate he's going he'll ship the main and disappear forever. Karma doesn't seem to work on him. Cheats, crushes live poker, smoking gf etc

edit: Might go rail main and accidentally spill my soda on him. oops.

You're also misrepresenting Lee Jones statement as he acknowledged the unethicalness of ghosting while pointing out that it's impossible to enforce.

I was just thinking that a possible way of getting around this cheating, and similar types of shifty goings on in the on-line pokers world, would be, to incorporate in the Terms of Agreement, the fact that Stars can at any time, covertly use your computers camera to take a look at just whats happening at the players end, and/or also that Stars can give you a, lets say one minute message ( time to be determined by TOA) to get ready as Stars wishes for you to take a 360 degree look at players surroundings and player must conform and do as requested. This means that prolly cant play naked at home any more but hey , i think it's not a bad start for an idea, what do y'all think of that for an idea, or should i prepare for a lambasting for such folly of thoughts?

Not to mention that a lot of players, including myself, wouldn't feel comfortable allowing that. Part of playing online is playing within the privacy of your own home and that includes being able to play naked, do drugs, and use pee bottles while playing. If I wanted to be watched on a camera I would go play live.

I've never understood how a person can be so naive as to want to give up so much personal privacy/freedom for what is basically nothing in return.

yeah cos wanting to avoid being cheated at poker is "nothing". He's on the right tack at least, more transparency is needed and if we have it give up some privacy so be it

Yeah, because if we did give up our privacy like he's suggesting, cheating will totally just stop, right?

Just because an idea is intended to fix a universal problem doesn't protect it from being a terrible idea.

Cheating will never "totally stop", why present such an absurd notion as though that is what hes suggesting. Obviously its easy to criticise his suggestions but great ideas can spawn from the looneyist notions

Not the worst idea... I think its pretty clear that SOMETHING needs to be done, and this could certainly be something to consider.

You can't stop cheating. No matter what you do to prevent it there will always be someone that can figure out a way to exploit your prevention. Welcome to life.

All this talk about cheating is getting old though. On CJ's latest podcast Chance Kornuth said he knows 20-30 people that VPN from the states. On numerous other podcasts VPN'ing and poker houses have been brought up lightly and been laughed at. I wouldn't even be surprised if CJ VPN'ed Eurosites or small stakes on Stars (pure speculation), hence his laid back attitude towards it. So it's quite obvious that this happens all the time and most of the people that play in these games don't really care. DB didn't even seem to care until Hasting's called out the guy for angle shooting on twitter. If it was really that big of an issue why wait so long? I understand this is NVG but ****....give it a break.

Nothing is going to happen to any of these guys. If the stinger and noelhayes account get banned guess what? He's just going to get another account to play on. It's not like he had a problem doing it before.

I bet a lot of the people in this thread would VPN if they could figure out how to do it successfully.

It's a terrible idea for numerous reasons. He has the right intention but the actual idea is absurd.

So if i'm in another place then i gotta ask permission from said house owner & if they are not about i can't play, get banned?
Not to mention 100's of other thing's but most of all "freedom"

THIS, ya bots blah blah, maybe get more creative with bot detection, because this would be an easy solution for lots of online pokers current ailments.
