That's not really "admitting everything" is it? There were still plenty of players who played against him he didn't tell and probably had no intention of telling. Contacting them afterwards and offering them equity is at least showing some contrition but its incredibly unlikely he'd have done this if this whole thing hadn't been blown up like this.
I also don't think this is such a huge thread vs the bot-ring because he's an easy target, it's because he's a very well known (in high stakes online poker) player and people love "celeb" gossip and scandal - NVG fans aren't so different to the readers of the national enquirer than we'd like to think. Bots are nobodies, you can't relate to them.
They also don't post ridiculous tweets and write incredibly self-serving and patronising PM's to people they've shafted.
