Like multi-tabling online. It would be less chaotic if there were two completely different chip-sets in play. I think though if you are going to have a player/dealer ratio of only 4:1 you could just play short-handed and get more action/less waiting that way. That would require more floor space which is an issue where gaming tax is paid on a square foot basis.

I played it for several hours the night they launched it at Aria. It cycled between chaos( like you suggested) and lots of fun. It was tiring though as a player. I had to take a break after playing for 45 minutes. I was worn out, but again was exciting and fun.

Dealers hated it. some players liked it, some did not.

yes, MAP made a lot of improvements after testing at Aria and getting player / operator feedback.

Had to re-read that announcement 3 times, as I was sure it read "Multi Account Poker" and thought Cardplayer made a great level.
Disappointment followed soon after.

LOL @ the people taking the "STARS DOESNT CARE ABOUT VPNS" route

In the grand scheme of things they probably don't care but the point is there is only so much they can do to prevent them.

If people want to play and they set their rigs up correctly then Stars is not going to detect they are "vpning" or whatever method they are using to get online.

There are always ways around everything. That said I am sure if they detect something because someone is being a moron about how they get online then they will lay the hammer down.

In other words no matter how much they are supposed to care, they aint going to be able to stop it

errr.... yes they are. 5.11

For example, this is the pokerstarsUK section. It varies for other territories.

5.11WHO IS THIS SITE FOR? Due to licensing restrictions, this Site is only for the use of: (1) all persons who wish to play the RM Games whilst they are physically located in Great Britain (whether or not they are a British citizen or resident, for example if you are on holiday in or visiting Great Britain); and (2) all persons who have registered with us using an address in Great Britain, regardless of what country you are in at the time when you wish to play the RM Games (but subject in such cases to any local law or regulation that might prevent or otherwise affect your usage of the Site - some countries (e.g. France) will not allow persons within their borders to play on this Site). Persons who fall into one of the foregoing two categories must make deposits into their accounts and engage in real-money play on this Site alone and such persons will not be eligible to register on any other of our sites. Any attempt to circumvent the restrictions on play contained in this Section 5.11 (for example by a person located in Great Britain, or who has provided us with an address in Great Britain, trying to access a PokerStars site other than ‘uk.pokerstars.com’) is a breach of this Agreement. An attempt at circumvention includes, but is not limited to, manipulating the information used by PokerStars to identify your location and providing PokerStars with false or misleading information regarding your location. For the purposes of this Section 5.11 we will treat Northern Ireland as part of ‘Great Britain’.

Er... don't thousands of Russians have to use VPNs to get round their country's firewalls? Likewise with China and a few other "grey area" countries.
Using VPNs is not in itself a breach of Stars' rules.

Nitty. If someone incorrectly says vpn but the commonly understood connotation is "to disguise the remote origin of the user in order to circumvent the tos" then vpn being against the tos will suffice. Whatever.
