I just thought about this one guy who won the scoop main event playing under the screenname of his sister. That was a couple of years ago and he didn't see a dime of his win. What happened to stars. Why did they change their manner that hard?

what happened to the euro kid who played underage and final tables the 10 mill gtd in 2011? He got caught out on twitter by a journalist because his DOB was online? Did he get paid?

Just going from memory but I think stars seized the money (he never managed to cash it out) and donated it to a charity aimed at preventing under age gambling.

Personally I don't think HWC is Limon. Limon is a tad more cohesive in getting his points across. He also doesn't post as rampantly. Basically less and more cohesive posts. Really don't think they are the same person.

Anyway, wouldn't it be cool (and perhaps necessary?) to see a transcript of that Hastings/Ike skype convo?

My original point that you seem to be disregarding is that both he and PStars have a financial interest to be less than forthright whereas those bringing the matter up and questioning responses do not.

Considering, as noted, all the big name pros with "strong positive reputations in the ... poker community for a decade" and big name sites that have been caught up in various cheating scandals of one form or another that many like you thought impossible as you attacked the accusers, I don't know who in their right might would take any such statement by a pro or site directly or indirectly involved in a similar situation "at face value."

Time may tell, but there are certainly enough holes in even the explanation and when delivered to refrain from awarding benefits of the doubt.

Exactly, its not like hwc is giving out sensitive information - the only reason for him being anonymous is because he doesn't want to put his real name to his posts/allegations. Loses all credibility because of that.

I'd nearly start a book on what PS will actually do on this. I'm beginning to think they will do absolutely sweet f all. It's about 2 months now and no anything. How does it take so long to investigate such a clear case? I must say I have absolutely no faith in these people. Absolutely none whatsoever. I mean, how clear was the Jeans case in Barcelona? They did nothing then and didn't give a toss. If they really cared and were going to do something then I don't see how it would take this long. Maybe I'm missing something? I don't think I am. I believe they will do nothing.

Jamie Staples is a Stars pro? wtf? the guy hardly knew the rules of poker during that High Roller he was narrating. I guess stars will hire anyone these days.

What makes you think they would let 2+2 or anyone else know what their actions in this case will be?

So, if e.g. Hastings gets banned, Ike gets reprimanded and people start getting some money back, none of this info would make it's way here into TT? People like Berri & Bakes are not going to know and/or not mention a word about it here?

Of course. If one of those gets banned/loses contract we will ofc know, but Stars is not going to let "us" know what they are doing now. They could very well have been on this case for as long as this thread has been going on. They are not publicly going to let us in on this, and I don't even think they legally can. A statement will ofc be made if a pro leaves, but that will be it. Lots of players have been banned over the years for similar reasons, and no public announcement has been made. Investigations like this are made internally, and for a good reason. Saying Stars is doing nothing simply because "we" don't know is just wrong, that's not how things work.

Oh yeah for sure, I agree with all of this. I just don't see how it can take this long and seeing as it is taking this long I wouldn't be at all surprised if this investigation results in little or no action being taken. It will be interesting to see. Both interesting and critical for the good of the games. Most previous scandals were bigger but they happened in boom times or tail end of the boom. Those days are gone. We don't need this kind of crap anymore for the games to have a chance of surviving at any reasonable level.
