I would like the chance to address some of the concerns people have raised that I may have somehow been conspiring with Brian to get action that he or I or both of us wouldn’t have otherwise gotten or that I was protecting his identity out of any sort of financial self-interest. Neither of these things are true. Please allow me to clarify a few things about the nature and extent of my interactions with Brian and with the NoelHayes account.
I believe the NoelHayes account turned up around February. My records show that I played 290 hands of zoom PLO in games with the account in March and April. At that time I had no idea who was behind the account.
Some time in early May I heard a rumor that it was Brian on the account. I was inclined to believe it, but without any actual evidence I didn't think there was anything for me to do about it. Over the course of May I played 130 hands in games with the account.
On the last Sunday of SCOOP, I ended up on the same table as NoelHayes in a tournament and Brian messaged me on Skype to tell me it was him.
Now, in retrospect, I know that I should have immediately passed that Skype transcript along to someone at Stars. In reality, I was preoccupied with just trying to play poker and I ignored it. This was a lazy, irresponsible, path-of-least resistance choice, and I regret it, but in the moment I just didn't really think it through very carefully. The very next day I left for Vegas for the WSOP, the Noel account pretty much stopped playing online, and I didn't give the whole thing much further thought until this thread started.
When Brian messaged me to tell me he was playing on NoelHayes, it was the first time I had heard from him in several years. We are not close friends and have never had any sort of financial relationship.

He is a repeated cheater in the game, at the highest level and from his interactions with bakes, appears to be self obsessed, delusional and extremely immature.

I hope in some shape or form he suffers either a severe financial, reputational or legal penalty, but we will have to wait to see!

Seems like Ike is getting kicked in the nuts for only associated with multi accounters. If thats the case I should be crucified and stoned in the street cuz I've drank and played poker with people that are known to have killed people.

But yeah, seeing as the things Ike has said are seriously easy to prove (i.e. dates of skype convo and date he left for Vegas,) then I don't see any reason not to believe him. In which case it is clear he wasn't sure of a single thing and had zero proof of anything in any of the cash game hands v NH. All of which pretty much clears him of any possibility of seeking easy action he would otherwise not have got. I don't think he can now at all be held accountable for having sat with NH. Of course in retrospect he should have immediately reported the skype convo but with leaving the next day and all....hmmm I dunno, most people probably would have done the same i.e. nothing. It's not as if he was sitting around for another month watching NH play every day and sitting himself several times. I don't think it's nearly as bad with this info coming to light that he only found out @ the end of SCOOP and was leaving the next day. But yeah, I guess he should have reported it stat. We live and learn.

i agree that Ike should have told pokerstars about the NH account and everyone in the poker community has reason to be disappointed in him.

im having trouble crucifying him for getting bumhunter action because of a random account which he knew the identity of. absent collusion (which seems like a reach for ike, maybe not stinger) i really dont think what he did is all that bad wrt the bumhunters. perhaps (likely) ike played hands differently because of the extra information he had with the NH identity and that's a legitimate complaint for people affected by it. but just for getting them to sit? i dont buy that. ike made no representation as to the ownership of a random account on the table. he didnt message a 3rd party and say "hey big fish! come to table X". hes sitting on a table with a certain user name, who may or may not be a good player, and he knows its a good player. why does he have an obligation to others in his game to disclose the identity of that person? (again, as a stars pro i think he has an obligation to tell STARS)
