This has gone down with a very low profile. (The part about Stars pros knowing about Hastings.)

If Stars started firing people it would give the story the legs that is hasn't yet had.

Now if this had started out of the gate with a high profile, heads would have rolled whether they had dirt or not. The only difference is if they had dirt, Stars would pay them off to take the bullet and go away.

We need facts and logic. Cohesion or dissent is not even relevant.

Regarding the bolded, that's been my point the entire time. Whether they knew or not, their optimal play (assuming they want it to go away) is to shut up about it and not fire anybody. That's why I said we couldn't reach conclusions about when Stars knew just based on the fact that they didn't fire anybody. Have you read anything I wrote?

To this point, outside of this thread the entire story has been about Hastings and not much if anything about Stars pros knowing. Yes, if that changes Stars might have to try a different tactic such as firing somebody.

While you're likely right with this post it did not actually address the point he has been making at all.
The "you don't pay attention to the world around you" part is quite lame seeing as you failed to pay attention to the content of his point (multiple times), which was in fact correct.
Based on stars lack of response we cannot derive clearly whether they already knew the MAing in the very beginning. Yes, we would indeed expect them to sack the team pros if they didn't already know, but you just stated a clear argument why that might not be the case: they have dirt.
So as a result we cannot clearly say they knew already about Hastings or not. (That's the whole point he was making)
The dirt doesnt necessarily have to be that they knew about Hastings' MAing. It could very well be that they were turning a blind eye to VPNing for a long time and would be called out for it if they only sack teampros because they knew about Hastings' case.

At about 03:24:31, George Danzer says "the torture continues." George then seems to be asking "When did you stop" and Mercier asks, "Why did I stop?" Danzer says, "No, when." Mercier says, "Oh I thought you said why. Because I ran out of money....poor decisions." Mercier then talks about how he asks for a latte and he gets a macchiato. Then, going back to the previous conversation, George says, "Noel...Noel....did he do it?"

Mercier answers "Noel Hayes?" George responds, "Yeah the butchering." Mercier says, "He did a lot of it."

That's what I got. Then, it becomes impossible to hear over commentary.

Now lets move forward the the important next step of forcing stars to put up a sacrificial lamb. The lamb must know by now, hes already been sacrificed through his silence. Poker media career is over if you carry water for you bosses and don't come clean to the community that supported you. All that's left is the official statement. (and stars to write a lot of checks)

Stapes is generally pretty good, but he should be aware when there is juicy table chat going on and shut **** up.

most commentators have no clue what they are doing because they dont understand that table talk is a very important aspect of a live poker game. Gabe Kaplan is the only guy i really thought "got it".

Do you think stapes was intentionally talking over them due to the subject matter,for fear that some viewer will google Noel Hayes? Im sure stapes could hear what they were saying.....
