Happy thanksgiving to all.
This does not look like the writing of a mad man. I should know, I’ve been diagnosed as bipolar, then schizophrenic, and finally schizo affective. Either way, I’ve gone through psychosis many times over the past 20 years since I was 19.
This man is coherent in his writing, even this one:

I believe this was purgatory. I also saw heaven, it was so bright and beautiful. I’ve learned life is a beautiful gift, not to be squandered.
I deal with pain due to a medical issue. I prayed to God to help reduce my pain and at the end of the prayer I felt a tap on my shoulder. I promise there was no one else in the room. So I googled “God shoulder taps” and there were thousands of results of people saying that when your prayer aligns with Gods will you get a shoulder tap. I was blown away.
All my life I’ve been searching for meaning and it’s very clear what my life’s purpose is. To save souls for Jesus Christ.
Don’t get me wrong, I played poker for a decade and loved it. It was cool being on tv and winning the Sunday Million. However finding God is WAY cooler than any poker accomplishment.
What’s the most religious experience you’ve ever had, leaving no doubt in your mind that God is real?
Does he seem like he is having racing thoughts? Outlandish to a non Christian yes, but that is all. Based on my experience he is having a legit spiritual experience and is not mentally ill.
I too heard from God a few times, once I was strongly encouraged to stop playing poker. Since I’ve been delusional before, I knew that this inner voice as you can say was something different. It was more calm and it had authority.
Don’t bash this man. I didn’t sign the petition but I urge him to keep posting in this forum. Many people need to hear something like this. Now more than ever.
