On the positive side, we may have found Cornell Fiji's next employer.

what was to possible upside? If it was huge like high 8 or 9 figures taking an 8 mil loss is probably acceptable

Measure twice, cut once is a particularly apt adage for posting information like this on the internet. How big is the company? How obvious will it be to management that you posted this? And, most importantly, did you post this from work? That would be epic.

He conned Bob Bright? That seems unlikely.
Bob personally told me at the WSOP that Brandon had already made a large number (low seven figs) trading with his firm.

Brandon is in China right now and probably unable to respond.

Wait lemme get this straight....

OP makes a thread trying to slander BA or at the very least make him look bad and now he wants it deleted b/c he's afraid he's gonna get fired.

ROFLMAO. Is this whole thread a joke?

OP seems to be a bit too old to be pulling this sort of ****.

Bright Trading is a day trading firm. when exotiq says he trades remote, he mean from home, although i would imagine many who use Bright Trading do also.

Bob Bright likes poker.

the comment about "into the Brights for his debt balance" would be "full make-up" in poker parlance.

Genentech has been the major biotech firm in the news in the last seven or so days. they rejected a buyout bid from Roche (the roofie manufacturer.)

it's funny for exotiq to come here and post this, esp. since he seemed to realize the ignorance of the post after he had done it. since any money BA lost does not effect exotiq, you gotta think this is someone who has a little chip on their shoulder.

Believe it or not, the Supreme Court once ruled that you have a right to bring a lawsuit claiming that you were misled into investing on what was represented to be inside information. Whether it would be a wise thing to do is another matter.

So you didn't think something so inflammatory would be a bad idea?

No. Which makes it a perfect thread for NVG.

According to the OP, Brandon Adams is in the hole for $5 mil to Bright's trading company and is in for full makeup.

^^^^ Allegedly. Now the OP wants the thread deleted (after he made this post in two separate forums) because he also does trading with Bob Bright's company and doesn't want any repercussions.

cliffnotes: bob bright gives poker players huge amounts of money to gambool in the market, i need to meet this guy.

Also from what i can gather, getting a deal with bright gives you access to multiple millions in proportion to your initial investment (20k min). I'm assuming this is intended as some form of staking but more so their traders could take risk free positions in the day trading market, probably arbitrage which requires huge capital to take advantage of. I could be wrong but i can't see any other reason they would give unproven traders such credit access.

Is the short version that BA convinced Bright to invest a bunch of money in a stock that tanked based on information that turned out to not be legit or something? I'm more confused about all the technical details.

No, the firm covers all losses. The Bright Bros are worth ~100 or more.
you pay a one cent commission and get 100% payout with leverage with no recourse for losses???

what am i missing?

i'd never heard of the firm (doesn't mean much) but they claim to trade 1% of the NYSE volume (or something similar)

one penny per share. i know nothing about the market but i'm guessing when you trade you are dealing with at least 6 figs and probably millions of "shares"

Brandon allegedly *thought* he had a lock based on a tip from someone working in the company (this would be illegal if true), acted on it and lost 8M of another guy's money (that Brandon now owes that person) when it turned out to be false.

I'm not deleting this thread until we get some sort of tangible evidence either way. This would be pretty serious if true, but can very easily be completely BS or only half accurate so take it with a large grain of salt.

if you're dealing with penny stocks, yeah. if it involved Amylin, the commission is only .01/~$30, but day traders can be in and out of a stock a dozen times a day, so...

wow. first of all, there is some truth to this post. i recently lost a staggering sum in trading. bob bright and i are on very good terms --- the original poster is way out of line and bob surely won't appreciate this post when he sees it.

i simply can't go into details here. suffice it to say that bob and i are both mature gamblers; we had a unique arrangement, the risks of which were well understood by both; there was a fairly impressive blowout. the blowout was bad for him and bad for me, but the possibility of a blowout was well-anticipated. we had plans in place for dealing with it and we are now proceeding with those plans.

i have to catch a plane, but i suppose i can give the broad outlines...
july 15. i have 2.2 mill equity at bob's.
july 16. had 10mill long, 8 mill short. roughly normal book for summer. i lose 700k in one day. short portfolio up 6%, long port down 2.2%. short a decent number of financials. financials have biggest up day ever.
july 17. continuation of above. lose 300.

gotta run....
july 29. see chart for eln.
july 31. see chart for eln.

also heavily long TE. long oil, commodities. short financial.

anyway, no more details from me. bob and i gamble. some times things don't work out. but bob and i are on great terms and to OP --- thanks bro, good luck, i'm sure you'll go far.

BA
